My late mother used to tell me "when you get to the top of the hill, they start shooting at you." She said this to me often when, as a child, it was clear that my life would be the life of a public performer of classical fine arts. She, a fine artist herself, knew the rigors of public attention, and that the more your work was heralded in public, the more gossip and falsehood would be assigned to you. One time I went to my niece's wedding and was gone 3 days. When I returned, I learned that rumors had been spread that 1) I defected to Russia; 2) I had been kidnapped by a drug cartel; 3) I had died of AIDS; and 4) that I had been captured by Russians and poisoned. Well, when I walked into my normal weekly church group it seems I escaped a drug cartel, escaped Russian prison, come back to life from AIDS, and also recovered from a deadly poisoning! Almighty me!!! So, son, I completely understand your message. Now I have not heard any particular gossip about you, but then due to my own life experiences I do not listen to gossip even if I do hear it. So whatever foul falsehoods are spreading about you, they have not reached me ears. However, that does not mean I do not completely stand behind your message here, and boost it with my own support for your stance and your directives to fans. You are well loved, and this you know without doubt. This love is forever and cannot be broken. What God has made, no man can destroy. And so, my beloved son, keep your brave face. Your poetry, your celebration of love and fantasy, is the fuel that pushes society forward. You have taught me more about love, loving and being loved just by reading your verse than life experiences have taught me. Of course, the "love affairs" I've been known for are all on stage or in the films! LOL I have loved Juliet, the White Swan, Giselle, Swanhilda, Carmen, and many other great ladies - on stage! In life I have been more dedicated to my work as a fine artist, so other than my paternal instincts and love of my children, as well as deep love and affection for you and other fellow artists, it is from your poetry that I have learned. The thing about fine art is that it gives the viewer/reader an emotional experience. And once a human has had an emotional experience, they do remember it forever because it becomes part of their life. As such, son, you are very much part of my life through your poetry and the wonderful phone conversations and text conversations. It would be amazing to actually meet you, but I probably do not own a good enough suit to be allowed into the Palace or other venues where you hang out. Nevertheless, I do love you and am delighted with each new poem you post. So, fellow fans! Listen up! Do not give any weight to the things you see and hear online. Prince Hamdan is a human being with a kind heart, a HUGE talent, and tremendous responsibilities. He is fair, kind, generous, loyal, responsible, compassionate, humble, clever and so much more. Do not fall prey to those who opportune over the destruction of the reputations of prominent people. Love you son.
