Perfect timing .... looking to make a table saw jointing jig and wanted it so i could joint 2 x 4s. I bought the basic clamps and have spent considerable time trying to get the right sized would to hold the 2 x 4s so the clamps will lock down properly. Needless to say a bit of a pain. So i was thrilled to see you discuss the variable clamps. Now i'm off to get a few of those ! Thanks !

i am trying to make a clamping tool holder for my hand cast so i can hold things i am working on. i can't use my fingers or put pressure on fingers so it will be attached to cast.i think i can make something to hold it with this clamp.. thanks

nice! I have a question about the push pull clamp at the end.. it looks like it lifts your blank just before clamping. was that a convincidense or does it happend all the time? Or is there an adjustment to provide it?

just a quick one, you missed the point of the extra hole on the push and pull clamp, moving the handle bolt to the other hole will prevent the handle from going below the work piece level :)

Hi, Nice video ... What is the maximum force with which a toggle clamp can exert ? You said the self assisting clamp could exert between 50-500 pounds of force ... Love to know if any other quick release clamps that can exert more pressure then these toggle clamps ? Thanks in advance.

About 5-seconds later, you push the hand lever to fully extend the probe in the 'push' direction. You say the words, "lock it in". Do you actually lock it it at that point? Or, must one push down on the hand lever a wee bit more to actually "lock it in". I get it... since the clamp is not securely fastened to the table, you may be deliberately avoiding "locking it in" in its fully extended position. I would just like to know if it will kind-a-snap into the "lock-it-in" position if you had pushed it a wee bit more. It looks like it might. Great video, by the way. And I appreciate your enthusiasm with regard to these really useful tools.
