This is so sad. For ancient people and old cultures we all care about Mother Earth, respect to one another physically and spiritually as well as respect to our cultures. We are One. We need to open our hearts and share peace. I'm honored to learn about the amazing Tohono O'odham Nation and would love to help. It's not the fault of the native people that borders were created and they got put into reservations without the infrastructure and help. We should all take it personally...all Arizonians

I respect the Nations Tribal customs and culture and appreciate their invisible fence idea for their Nations Tribes to freely visit back and forth between Mexico and US with their jobor system and Tribe ID's. But look who is taking advantage of this and breaking the Nations Tribe customs as well as stealing from their poor community and enticing these poor folks and kids who are easily influenced by $1000 to smuggle - $5000 to do illegal activity. The economic migrants are crossing the borders for jobs when the Tribal leader said they have no job opportunities, how is this fair to our Nations Natives? They are stuck in the middle and the border patrol said that it is up to the higher ups to decide and that it is imperative that politics aside they have a working relationship with our Nations Tribe. They are stuck in a circle of illegal activity, crime, trafficking, drug cartel and narcotics, theft of property and vehicles, that they themselves can't afford. The sacred gate that is the gateway to and from their land needs more than 1 border patrol if lucky and a light and honor system to cross. We can fortify a wall/security while allowing gated access for the Natives land. To save this community as well as the illegals who are dying daily and unclaimed and unidentified and burried in US in unmarked graves. Humankind says these folks need our help, we need to save them from this. Coming from the facts and statistics to break this never ending cycle.

Verlon agrees to interviews with the contractual assurance that decadent meals will be part of the payment. The Great Desert Toad negotiates strictly and is shrewd when it comes to food! His politics require cheese sauce and gravy!

This is a very ignorant thing to say. Tohono O'odam have some of the highest rates of obesity and diabetes of all the Arizona tribes and this is a problem, in general among many of the AZ tribes. Their indigenous metabolisms cannot handle processed foods, that were introduced by whites, and which are supplements of the US Government. No one should be eating those foods, but processed foods are especially harmful to the indigenous peoples (of AZ). There is a drive in their nation to bring back their native foods which are very specific to Arizona and their region. This does not come from excessive overeating necessarily, it comes from a processed food diet. Many of these people suffer from kidney disease as a result of diabetes. I worked at a major hospital in AZ in transplant, so I know.
