I bought a new toilet from Lowes for 100 dollars. It was a basic American Standard that uses a little over a gallon each flush. I am always impressed by how quick it flushes and how quiet it flushes to completely clear debris. A bonus has been a significant decline in my water usage and sewage processing bill. Actually the toilet will pay for itself in a few years.

I do respect you opinions and I do appreciate the offer but glacier bay is the worst when it comes to performers, same with brand new mansfield toilets and Niagara stealth toilets. I suggest kohler toilet's like pressure assisted toilet's from kohler. I agree with you on the cimmaron but anything else is a no-go for me.

I watched on a KZfaq who just installed a Glacier Bay and it was not flushing at all. Internal trap way problem. A manufacturing defect. He was going back to the store with bad toilet for an exchange. I guess he was not happy.

You need to spend much more time on the flushing design and internal workers and parts for each toilet. This is the only real way to determine which one is best.

I got the kohler cimmaron and am happy. The only tricky thing is that the water piston flush system still requires occasional gasket changes.... and this was a bit tricky to figure out, Thank god for KZfaq! I wonder.... would it be so difficult for kohler to make a few videos about routine maintenance?

Is hard water buildup normal? one of my old toilet bowl inside has buildup that reduce the inside diameter--therefore having more and more clogging. How do we know which product has a smoother inside surface what prevent hard water buildup? Of course the bigger diameter the better and so is the cost. Thanks.

Guys, NEVER I repeat NEVER buy a Glacier Bay dual flush toilet. I have used many of them and they take two big flushes for pee! A plumber even told me that he had to unclog a woman's pipes every couple months. Guess what toilet she had. He replaced it for her and she hasn't called him since.

Always you get for what you pay for. In my mind when toilet is mentioned automatically it is Toto. 4 toilets in my house. All Toto one piece water sense 1.28GPF model. They just work every time.

@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations It depends on the model but millennials want the toilet to wipe their asses and j*rk them off too. I have a Toto and it's incredible. I paid around $180 on Wayfair. That was a year and a half ago but there are good buys if you look for them. Stay away from aftermarket crap (pun intended).

These all seem to be tall or "comfort" height. Not comfortable for shorty me (5'3") at all! I unwittingly had one installed a couple of years ago and my feet dangle and legs go to sleep in a minute on it. For sure getting a standard/universal height on the next one, soon.

I have an Eljer all in one that everyone tells me sits too low. And trolls will say Eljer is a bad unit. It's been a work horse for 20 years. No complaints.

YOU.. of ALL people.. should be able to appreciate how I felt, as I was shopping for toilets today.. and learned THIS tid bit of info.. YES>. it is TRUE! . Thomas Crapper was an English businessman and plumber. He founded Thomas Crapper & Co in London, a sanitary equipment company. Crapper held nine patents, three of them for water closet improvements such as the 'floating' ballcock! He improved the S-bend plumbing trap in 1880 by inventing the U-bend. Wikipedia

I'm so sorry to burst your bubble, but Glacier Bay toilets, along with Seasons toilets, Aquasource toilets suck. And I mean BADLY!!! They are really bad performers. I have three Seasons toilets in my house and two of them clogged before.

This Watersense thing is ruining the entire toilet industry. It does nothing to reduce water use, instead it leaves everyone frustrated and confused with their clogging and plumbing issues. There is NO WAY a toilet would have decent performance under 1.6 gallons, and it is PROVEN that the performance is better on toilets that use more water. Yes, water use is an issue, but performance, design, and specs should be prioritized over that.

the water savers are the worst when poop sticks to the side of the bowl you can flush it away over a hundred times its like your poop is laughing at you the older toilets flush it away much better

GLACIER BAY ??? I think not. Mine is nowhere as good as my other toilet, Champion 4 by American Standard. Its the one where you can flush a bucket of golf balls and not clog.

@@ReviewTubes ...follow up from my above statement. I have now had mine for 3 plus years of service so far with no issues. if you want the info on this Champion 4 toilet by American Standard, look it up on Home Depots or American Standards website. Home Depot has them on sale right now for $199.00

Low flush toilets end up using more water because of multiple flushes, and they irritate the user because he has to clear clogging. People should vote to change these ludicrous laws.

Not necessarily true. The American Standard Cadet 3 is the best flushing toilet I’ve ever seen, and it’s only a little over $100 at Home Depot. Never had a clog and it uses only 1.28 gallons. One flush and done. Many times in the past I’ve had clogs in 3.5 gallon toilets. This model is so much better.
