Hello again! I hope you all are doing well and staying safe!
I'm back again with HanakoxYashiro animatic~ But spoiler alert for anime only or if you haven't read picture perfect arc! although it doesn't spoil that much anyway :D and sorry I rarely post any video :( school really give me a hard time with extra homework during these online classes, and I bet you feel it too, it's really hard to do group projects like this... But time will pass and let's hope that this pandemic will be over soon! Let's cheer up!
Anyway~ If you aren't familiar with the song, it's from Disney's The Princess and The Frog, it's my favorite princess movie of all time because I really look up to Tiana and her hardwork.
In the movie, the song was sang by a firefly named Ray, it was about the girl that he love and adore named Evangeline, and it turns out that Evangeline is a star. This song really reminds me of how Hanako looks at Yashiro, and Hanako also wants to go to the moon. While watching the animatic I hope you'll understand what I meant by 'how Hanako looks at Yashiro' by how he adore and loves her, how he thinks that she's too far away, and how he wonder why Yashiro would love someone like him (a murderer and a ghost).

This is one of the cutest and most adorable animatics I have ever seen. It is one of my favorites, I adore the smoothness of the art and how the characters move to the slowness of the song. I especially love the awkward/freak outs between Amane and Yashiro, that subtle cut to darker events during the "someone like me" line, and Mitsuba, Kou, Aoi, and Akane in the background. Everything is just so precious and wonderful, especially that ending with Hanako holding up her broach with tears, that hits so hard as the song winds to a close. Evangeline fits so well, a firefly/ghost who is attracted to something beautiful and unreachable, the star/ Yashiro. Awesome work, I love it!

UGH THE ENDING THERE JUST REMINDS ME OF HOW GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END QAQ I hope this manga will hopefully give us the happy side instead of the sad side cuz I can't take these emotions for too long qwq Also nice animatic, very wholesome like the others said and keep up the great work 👍

This made me think how Hanako really could've used her love for him to keep her there. I don't think she'd prefer it over reality, but imagine how tempting it'd be? The boy you like, who happens to be a ghost, is somehow alive again. He's in your class and he asks you on a date to a movie that's bound to catch your eye since he used your interests when crafting the movie ticket, only to tell you that same day he asked you on the date that he likes you back. Do you accept a world more perfect than a dream with all of your friends and the love of your life, or the harsh reality of your impending death and the pain it'd inflict upon those who grew to care for you?

Yes I agree! It would be really tempting to stay, but I guess Yashiro also choose not to stay because Hanako will leave her there alone, so she will not be with the real Hanako but only a living doll who looked and act like him. I mean she did say that she loved it there but it's not real... This is why this arc is so beautiful yet bittersweet 🥺😭
