I went there too and was beautiful fireworks

I used to live just down the street from the Shin-Shibamata station. The fireworks show is huge, one of the biggest firework shows in Tokyo. Makes for an awesome evening, lots of food vendors and CUTE kimono wearing women. That area is usually very quiet and calm *you can hear the train sometimes even at 1k away* I miss that sooo much. The day before many people put down tarps to reserve your spot, my tarp was pretty big, so had others sitting on it.

The energy is palpable!

I was there for the fireworks 3 months later (October 2023). A beautiful night and a bit of madness. There were a million people at least according press follow day. The fireworks lasted one hour. After it my way to hotel room two. The unforgettable beautiful night🌃🎆

Ram, you got me with the long ''dolly zoom'' in the crowd👍, facing the fireworks, awesome, like getting absorbed into another universe, strange feeling 🙃😅!! Fantastic fireworks 🎆 - patience needed to get there, but you found a good way, through quieter streets too (a nice shrine⛩) - and loved to see so many kimonos, yukatas👘, beautiful! (Oh, nothat walk, 😓💚!?)

Let's take a trip back in time and join Rambalac in Adachi-ku in 2023 Let's start on the west side of Kitasenju station, on the concourse above Senro St. Let's wander around the concourse and then take the escalator down to Senro St., and head west Let's turn left at the Family Mart, and continue south down that street We deke right into the alley next to the apartment block and turn left into Honcho Shopping St. a.k.a. Old Nikko St. Let's turn around and head north to Kita Senju Station St., and cross that street and keep heading north We turn left at the 7-11 and head west down that street, and cross into the shrine jsut as the fireworks start We exit the shrine and head north down the street until we meet Sun Rd., turn left and head west again Let's Cross Highway 4, turn right and head north bearing left at the fork, then follow the footpath into Nikaibori St. We continue north, and turn left into Iroha St. and walk down to Taisho St., and make a right We carefully make our way down to Tokyo Metropolitan Route a.k.a. Highway 449 and turn left just as a second barrage of fireworks begins Let's wait for a bit, then slowly walk up the ramp to Highway 449 which has been closed to traffic We walk west to stairwell 13 and climb up to the overlook where we can see the Arakawa River We keep heading west to stairwell 14, and then turn around and make our way back to stairwell 13 and keep going to 12 and turn around again We arrive at stairwell 13 where we see a young man being carried away by police, it looks like he's had a rough night More fireworks start as we walk backward past stairwell 14, and then forward again to stairwell 14 for another round of explosions Aerosmith are performing nearby, so we have to mute the footage for copyright reasons, while we make our way east During a break, we film the kyukyusha slowly making its way to a nearby hospital And the fireworks continue as we walk back to stairwell 13 and further

I like admiring all the yukata in detail, something not possible in real life or you seem creepy.

I've read on the internet they are going to ban foreigners from Geisha streets ( don't remember the details but it was something along those lines ) , also their population numbers are falling and they are in serious danger if nothing changes until 2030. Kind of sad to be honest.
