That drawing if Kaneki when he first wakes up as a half-ghoul makes me cry like CRAZY everytime I see it... It just reminds me of how innocent and tired he was as his human self, with his half-shut human eye, and then his widely open ghoul eye that took over his body and brings him all the corruption his soul suffered from, especially when he was tortured by Jason. This drawing just means so much. EDIT : I have to add something : I've been singing this so much that my voice is now broken and I can't go as high as before 😭 I hope I'll be able to sing it 681740973 times a day again soon

I know, I’m an awful person. I’ve never watched Tokyo Goul and I will get to it someday. Besides that though, I feel like this song played on the piano (especially this video) gives a feeling that anyone can die and any moment and it could even be you or someone you love. Just think about it though, that is scary. And it doesn’t just have to be a quick death, it can be a slow painful one. That is what I feel listening to this cover.

This song is so beautiful. Whenever I can actually understand the lyrics I tear up. Its a song about someone broken who's given up trying to get back to the person they once were. They know the person they are now can't coexist with the self that was happier, and for the people they know that are looking on at this shell of a person to remember that happy person they miss. Remember who I was so the thought of who I've become doesn't destroy you too. There is so much energy even in a lyric-less piano cover.

I've fallen asleep to this on repeat before. It feels amazing, and seeps into your dreams. Where Hide lives and Kaneki was never brutally tortured or joined Aogiri, where everyone is just happy at Anteiku. Why can't dreams be reality?

TG was emotional in an unsettling way, like a feeling you don't wanna feel. Something that might make you numb, it just stays right there. Man I loved the storyline so much, doesn’t matter how messy the anime was. Hope TG gets a reboot to show everyone how this could have beaten most anime in terms of story and animation.
