You should definitely read the manga instead of the anime. The anime messed a lot of things up and is just really confusing

The fact that the thumbnail uses the logo for the entirely unrelated Unravel video game I find to be super funny for some reason. On one hand you have a cute and heartwarming game about tiny yarn dolls exploring the world and gathering precious memories, and then you have Tokyo Ghoul. I love the dichotomy, and now I can't stop thinking about the two worlds being related or crossing over or something
