Tokyo Narita Takeoff - Virgin Atlantic VS901 to London Heathrow - A340-600

11 жыл бұрынTaxi and takeoff from Tokyo Narita airport on Virgin Atlantic airlines. 13th September 2012, from economy on an Airbus A340-600. A Japan Airlines 787 is visible on the takeoff roll, and this was before the battery fire problems.

Aircraft - Airbus Industrie A340-642 - G-VFIT "Dancing Queen"
(my personal favourite aircraft, 4 engines, long body, looks great with the new metallic red Virgin colour scheme, and its a rare bird compared to its competitors, the 747 and 777)
Camera - Canon EOS 60D, with an EF-S 15-85mm F3.5/5.6 IS USM Lens
Edited in Adobe CS6, encoded to x264 with FLAC audio and exported to youtube.

The A340-600 is one quiet aircraft! Unfortunately when I flew this route I was on the A340-300, poor entertainment and uncomfortable

the -600 is my favourite commercial aircraft, although I have only flied on two long haul aircraft, the B767-400ER and this. I booked Virgin and not BA because of this plane, very quiet, good service, 2 window seats not 3, its awesome. its a shame to hear about the entertainment on the -300, but I hear they are replacing them with A330-300s, and soon to be 787s and other newer aircraft.

Aaron Barber The one aircraft I do want to fly is Virgin`s newly refurbished 747-400s, I must say the 747-400s are really comfortable to fly on in economy and Virgin`s look exceptionally good!
