I've had Soranoiro Nippon on my list of restaurants to visit in Japan for -close- -to- over three years now ... Thanks to youtubers in Japan, it must be the ramen restaurant in Tokyo most known to future travellers that serves vegetarian ramen. Second well-known would be Shinbusakiya in Shibuya.

she's such a wonderful person and I love that she isn't like typical JP or asian woman and "stuck in her mind" about things. She tried the veggie ramen and said how good it was and that makes me hopeful to see. So many JP and asians have a huge problem with racism towards the rest and grandma chef's sweet attitude helps break that awful stereotype

Thank you so much for sharing! We'll definitely check these places out. In Kyoto Station, we had T’s Tantan Vegan Ramen (I've seen articles on this place!). I've been mostly vegetarian for twenty years and had some great food but had my doubts about this place. It was great food! It might be my most favorite ramen so far. They had a nice approach to this particular variety of ramen. Apparently they have several locations. Even if one isn't vegan or vegetarian, it's well worth the try. My husband isn't vegetarian and enjoyed his meal.

They both look delicious! I wish more restaurants here would serve veggie ramen or soba. Tonkotsu is the most popular broth here, although I found a place that serves kuro ramen and I go there just for it.

I would like to see a "Cooking With Dog" anime (making dishes, hilarious quests, adventures, and doggy-ness) that ended each episode with a segment like this. It would feature characters speaking every language, with a guest animal translator relaying to Francis (which is then implied to be translated to Chef), that way, Francis and Chef can keep their French-Accented English and Japanese languages respectively.
