I went there in March when the sun was setting, and I got to see the entire city at night with all of the building and street lights on. I might go again next year. 🙂

The structure of the Skytree is amazing. The strength of the tower is maintained through a combination of traditional and modern techniques. It can withstand winds of up to 100 m/s and can withstand even the largest earthquakes.

It's good that you visited when it was not so crowded as seen in this video. It didn't take a lot of time to go up but going down took me at least 30 mins during this Golden Week.

I live near the Sky Tree. The sparkle of the illuminated tower changes in a complex manner, making it very beautiful. I never get tired of watching it every day. However, I have never climbed the Sky Tree. In Japan, this is expressed as "the lighthouse is dark."　灯台下暗し(Toudai-moto-kura-shi)

@@VSV_Japan If you ever come to Japan again in the future, I recommend you to go up to Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka. Although it is only 100 meters high, it is a tower that is deeply loved by the people of Osaka. I also like Tsutenkaku as much as I like Sky Tree.

Wont be to long and I will be experiencing this first hand. Looked a bit breezy and crowded while you where out side. The night view from the tower was amazing. In my home city of Melbourne we have the Eureka skydeck which does the same job as Tokyo tower.

I am Japanese. The structure of the Sky Tree was built by applying the earthquake-resistant structure of Horyuji Temple, which was built 1,300 years ago and still exists today. It is a new building, but its earthquake-resistant structure and ideas were conceived 1,300 years ago. Tokyo is a big city, but during World War II, Tokyo was burnt down to nothing. From that state, we were able to revitalize the city to this extent.

Those are called Koinobori. People hang them wishing for children's health and growth on the national holiday May 5th (Children's day).

May I know how long someone can stay in this place after buying a ticket? Do we need to buy a separate ticket for a night view?

You can stay there as long as you want. But once you leave, you need to buy another ticket to go inside just like me.

Are they selling dogs at solamachi in the outside crates or are they offering pet sitting?

I don't think they were selling dogs because it was my first time to see dogs in the cage there. From what I saw, I guess they were looking for people who'd like to adopt dogs.

KZfaq is having an issue with HDR, not me. It takes more than 2 days for them to finish processing HDR these days, which is already pretty annoying, but what is even more frustrating is that the process somehow stops in the middle. I keep contacting the KZfaq support asking them to re-start the process manually which has worked fine until now but that doesn't seem working these days... sigh... 😡
