You think so? There is no bathroom and washroom on the 3rd floor where the bedrooms are. Only a toilet and a sink to wash your hands after using the toilet. @@zam023 I admit good point. If the 3rd floor had a full bath instead of 1 of the 3 bedrooms it would probably be better. Ok, this IS a nice house! This one definitely speaks to me. Great for a family, not too big and not too small either. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I never liked the living room and kitchen being in one room, so them being separate (but close to each other) is a great design choice in my opinion. And the closet space, my god, there is so much of it! It's great! If I had the money and a family, I would definitely consider living here!

I've been living in Tokyo for 14 years and in four different neighborhoods. Spectacular could mean different things to different people but this view is by all means is VERY NICE by Tokyo standards considering how urban this place is - a house 2 minute from the station in central Tokyo and of that size to have that view? Unheard of. Good luck ever finding one - condos (mansions as we call them here) are easier to find in the vicinity of a train station, but houses, never in the central Tokyo area. I'd be very surprised if the commenter lived in Tokyo (or ever looked for houses for purchase here), because anyone from here who's looked for properties to buy would be impressed by that view (again, considering the location, the size, and the place being a house, not a condo).
@Mackcolak-xf5bk
@Mackcolak-xf5bk 3 күн бұрын
@@lildrunken Yup, for Tokyo it's probably a good view as you explained. But from an absolute measure, looking at the unending horizon of wires and roofs is very dull and depressing. No nature, panorama, movement, or nice architectural or city planning elements. I bet any apartment would have a 10x better view of the city than the one shown in the video.

Nice place. Previous house on the lot looked pretty nice also. That house had a bit of a yard to it. Easy to find on Google maps. Go to the 'hood. Search for the coffee shop. Start looking south of the railroad tracks. The latest Google image shows a empty lot covered by a blue tarp. You are looking for the apartment complex across the street. While nice, not sure if I could get used to the meat and potatoes (dining, kitchen, LR) upstairs. All the appliances have to be moved a narrow set up stairs. Also, groceries would be a PITA after awhile. Still a very nice and modern place.

Nice video. We viewed this house but passed on it. iNest really pay attention to their finishing and we looked at many of their new properties around Setagaya as we really appreciated how nice they are. But there was always something slightly offputting either shape/size of the plot, proximity to a major road or rail line, or orientation vs summer sun. We ended up in 下馬2丁目 with another builder and whilst happy with the house it doesn't have quite the finishing of iNest., but considerably less expensive and better plot size and orientation.

There's no actual reason they don't work (except the whole 100V factor, but 1000W of heating should still dry the clothes faster than 6 hours.) I found out the other day that they actually have combo washers in the Americas (which are mostly 120V, but they have 240V units too apparently.) Anyways, they actually dry the clothes in a normal amount of time, say 90-120 minutes. Why oh why? (I'm complaining but we have a city gas dryer that works great.)

This was a very European town house style home! What's the going rate for utilities? Are utilities nationalised or does your electricity/water/gas come from private companies? Why are solar panels not used more especially on new builds?

Utilities for something like this will be around $200-$300 a month. Water is municipal while gas and electric are private. Solar panels are used in some new builds, and the laws are changing soon to require them in a lot more.
