His decks are pretty much foiled out and pimped out with masterpieces and foil fetches and duallands and stuff. Oh, and the Alpha Black Lotus PSA 10 that recently sold for 511000 Dollars on Ebay... Another youtuber mentioned that Postie bid 500k on that one but did not get it.

@@danielvanginkel7081 Buying one for playing is easy. I got a light played unlimited Black Lotus for 13500 Euro, now in the process of buying a nearmint from Beta for 55k Euro, for playing i would obviously use the light played unlimited. The Alpha graded gem-mint 10 is for investing or for rap music videos, you would not play that because looking at it wrong could damage it, and its only so valuable because there are maybe 3-5 of these in existence. Print run on Alpha was just 1100, many did not survive, only a handful survived in pristine condition. For playing, just buy unlimited, Print run was maybe 13000, most are in lightly played condition so it does not matter if it gets another tiny little scratch or dent.

Seeing Postie becoming an icon for the Magic the Gathering community is pretty fucking cool. Love seeing ya with some of our favorite channels Post. Now, for my favorite wincons are probably some of the more jankier ones, alongside a couple that work due to wording. 1. Isochron Scepter/Dram. Reversal + Aetherflux resevoir (you need enough mana rocks to tap down the Scepter and to go off with storm count. gain all the life and kill all the opponents) 2. Any combonation of cavalcade of calamity/hellrider/raid bombardment and torbran, thane of red fell/firey emancipation and swinging out with a bunch of small creatures. Pairs great for goblins, but I enjoy it much more in brudiclad after either making all my token copies a copy of Hellrider, going "Oops, all myr's" with Hover Myr or Myr Propogator, or the classic sharding sphinx method to make exponential tokens. 3. Infect on Nekusar with Grafted Exoskeleton, whenever i wheel twice or even jsut once with Windfall, its game. 4. now here's a janky one. With Iso/DramRev and infinite mana in izzet, tawnos in play and turning jace, wielder of mysteries into an artifact with any number of cards (Mycosynth lattice preferably), tick jace up and, in response, infinitely copy jaces activated ability with tawnos. You mill 1-2 people out and draw your deck out for the win

My favorite wincon is putting Sire of Insanity into play with Kaalia, then playing Armageddon during second main. Or to equip Avacyn with Worldslayer at off of Stone Giant. It doesn't win the game outright, but everyone just scoops at that point.

I kinda dig the fact that Post is so willing to do vids with people like this - especially since the vids he shows up in are all about the joy and options of the game itself. Also, props to the Prof for just consistently putting out quality videos!

You know you made it in life when a world famous musician is not only a fan of your show but also is a guest in your show. 😁 Srsly kudos prof. 👏 I have been here since roughly year 1-2 of this channel. I remember the prof mostly doing reviews on products ... in one of the older q&a Brian aka the Professor mentioned how he struggled, sometimes the future of the well being of him and his family was uncertain... The prof is an example that with hard work, passion and dedication and above all honesty and deceny can make you this far. Thank you prof you are a pillar of society and a true inspiration. Keep it up!👏

Ah I love the nuances of commander, the eloquence, the freedom. To be able to functionally decided a win condition that suits you instead of the “meta” is something that makes commander the best format in the best card game.

If you’d have told me a year ago that one of my favorite artists would also be one of the biggest Magic: The Gathering influencers, I would have told you a year ago, “Interesting. Now, leave me alone.”

This is the only mtg channel I've followed from the beginning and the only one I continue to watch even when I'm taking long breaks from the game. How wotc STILL doesn't sponsor the Prof is beyond me. I still remember his super nerdy, reserved sleeve reviews and I'm really happy he's come into his own and dominated mtg on KZfaq by giving players content they actually want to watch. A massive failure on the part of wotc and their channel to ignore the Prof.

In my opinion, the chances of them sponsoring the Prof is near zero, because--in my experience--voices like the Professor's tend to create a conflict of interest. Like, the Prof has been a well-reasoned critical voice of Wizard's practices... so for Wizards to sponsor that message WITHOUT some kind of clause of "you can't shit-talk us" would just make certain folk WITHIN Wizards be like "why are we sponsoring someone who keeps dunking on us?"... and that's assuming the Prof would agree to their "you can't shit-talk us" clause to begin with. I mean, maybe for certain individuals, they would WANT to support someone who keeps telling them what they're doing wrong so they can have a better, more educated idea of what they should do in life... but when you're a business trying to earn profit, sponsoring a message of _"making profit is fine, but not when you do it this way"_ isn't exactly something that'll look good in the eyes of the folk you're beholden to.
