Cyclops had to stop professor X, because if he didnt the prime sentinels wouldve definitely over powered the xmen, i mean we saw how they all already got whooped by bastion and sinister, imagine now when all the prime humans get back.

Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Logan was metal, no pun intended. And the fact that it ended on that scene. This is one of the greatest masterpieces Marvel has EVER done. I can't wait to see how they bring it all together in part 3.

the reason cyclops stopped xavier is because if he managed to use magnetos powers to fix the planet before gold team stopped bastion, then all the prime sentinals would have been reactivated. And if that happened, they would basically be locking in the extinction of all mutants. On top of that, he's trying to give jean more time to stop cable.

Cyclops didn't fuck up. He seen how bad they were struggling back on Earth. Had Prof. X done that every human sentinal would have come back online too, and they were barely dealing with regular ones. It was the right call overall. They need to deal with both almost at the same time or Bastion, and Magneto would just get the upper hand.

I love that Lupa basically knew what was going to happen to Logan from the jump against Magneto.

Love the symbolism of Rogue wearing Gambit’s coat and then leaving it with Charles when she sided with Magneto just reinforcing what Gambit believed about life being “what bits of us we leave behind, and what we carry into the future”.

Someone mentioned it in another comment and it made sense. The "fight" between Magneto and Xavier was always kind of a "gentlemens disagreement". Sure they fought, but neither side wanted to really hurt the other both because they knew they had common enemies, and they hoped to be on the same side one day. However, things have been ramped up now. Charles was going to break into his mind and take control. Something he realistically could have always done but didn't. Then Wolverine tried to kill him. After that the gloves were off.

Notice that only the X-Men were in kill mode. Jubilee going hard on Sunspot and Wolverine shanking Magneto after Rogue had stopped him once saying, "time out, you're playing to kill"

I honestly never thought the infamous scene of Magneto ripping out Wolverine’s adamantium would be adapted to screen, especially because of how brutal and horrific it is. And the fact it was done in the sequel series for one of the most kid friendly shows ever made!

People dont knew that Wolverine be constantly fighting Hulk. We talking a 5’3” vs 7 to 8 ft hulk. This man simply don’t give a shit who his opponents is. Thats what I love about him.

The show isnt 100% clear on how screwed Earth is. Magneto's global EMP utterly wrecked the Earth's magnetic field. Storm says she can feel the field dying and they only have 12 hours until its gone. The show doesn't state it, but the Earth's magnetic field is the reason we have an atmosphere, without it solar radiation and winds would strip the atmosphere away and leave Earth another Mars. Magneto isnt just sending humanity back to the stone-age, he's razing the entire planet and making Asteroid M an Ark. The fact the magnetic field protects the atmosphere from solar radiation/winds and the fact they brought in Sunspot for this season might be a coincidence, but maybe not.

Cyclops shot Professor X because he saw the vision of Gold Team struggling against Bastion. Gold Team has to stop Bastion first before deactivating Magneto because otherwise the Prime Sentinels go online again if Magneto goes down first.

One thing I love about Wolverine in this show is that he’s always on GO. He’s ready to take out anybody they gotta fight.

Its crazy that they're making Magento out to be the villain, when everything he has done has been in retaliation to what was done to him. He's already survived one genocide, the friggin Holocaust, and he doesn't want to live through another. And, he tried, he really did, to take the peaceful route, the high road. And it just went the way it always does. At this point, Magneto has every right to do what he has to secure the future for his people. Because, as Beast said one episode, "Our first mistake was begging for your tolerance." There's only so much rhetoric can do, even helpful actions like being heroes. At a certain point you have to say "Fuck this." and fight back, because people will hate you regardless.

Cyclops stopped Xavier from taking out Magneto because as soon as he’s out, all the prime sentinels wake up and gold team gets slaughtered. That was Cyclops saying he’d rather risk the whole planet going to shit than lose his son and wife again.

Basically everything that's been happening on the show, has happened in the books, just told in a different way. Genosha's attack happened in the E for Extinction arc, and Wolverine having his adamantium ripped out happened in the Fatal Attractions story. And Bastion's origin was in the Operation Zero Tolerance arc.

Sometimes I forget how strong Cable is, but then I realize that he’s the son of Jean Grey’s clone Madelyn. Literally if that technorganic virus wasn’t holding him back, he would be a lot stronger than he showcased against Jean which is kind of scary to think about. X-Men 97 is the best animated series out right now, literally every episode has been fire. Aside from the amazing dialogue and intriguing story, the fight sequences are pretty dope and creative. They give every major character depth and a chance to shine. I can’t wait for Season 2, since next week’s episode is the season finale.

This was my favorite episode so far from the animation to the comic accuracy it's just so good Kevin F. is definitely to thank for all this he has appreciated the X-Men for years and it's now paying off can't wait to see what is next

If you’re curious about Cable, he actually has the potential to be an Omega Level Telekinetic as well. However most of his power is used to hold back the Techno-Organic Virus in his body(it wasn’t cured) so he can’t use it that often. Nate Grey(aka X-Man), an alternate version of Cable who was transported to the main universe and had his own comic for a while, was a demonstration of what he could do. (Also random Fun Fact, in the X-Man Annual he gave himself and the Hulk psychic armors that looked exactly like The World from Jojo’s lol- inspired by the 90s Jojo movie)

Kill is a strong word. His healing is part of his mutation not because of the adamantium. But it does set up a really good story line for logan

I'm wondering why Magneto wouldn't agree to at least team up against Bastion and Sinister while the world was emp'd. He knows that they were behind what happened on Genosha, sure others helped back them but he knew that they directly did it. Plus his powers would've been extremely useful in the battle, and they couldn't afford for the X-Men's attention to be divided right now. After the fight when Bastion and Sinister are defeated, they could debate what path to follow but right now isn't the time for that.

Cyclops had a bomb ass reason for stopping the Professor but we’re definitely getting Savage Mode Cyclops like in Avengers vs X-Men. We’re definitely getting Onslaught based on all of the stress Charles is getting and his darkness coming out as well as him hijacking Magneto’s consciousness and possibly Dark Phoenix w Jean. But props to the animation team for the stellar recreation of the panel where Magneto does the deed. And Storm’s opposition to Beast’s idea was HILARIOUS!!! Don’t ever mention a woman’s past trauma as a future solution to a problem she has to be a part of solving; the answer is always NO 😂😂😂

Wow In the comics I saw this happen, Wolverine will recover after a long coma, even his memory will be affected, but as for the machine...... remembering that Wolverine's powers are the extremely fast healing factor.

My boy can't catch a break... Won his trail,had the counsel in the palm of his hand (mercy), and embrace pro x dream. Cutting the power is the better outcome compared to a living and breeding sentinels... Destroying geonosha just didn't kill thousands of mutants but it kill their dream, not mad at all that only remainins is an nightmare.

So it looks like we going to get bone-claw Wolverine next episode. He has to be faster now without hundreds of pounds of Adamantium weighting him down, and his healing factor stronger not having to continuously fight off metal poisoning.

Scott had a choice to make - if he were to not stop Professor, Magneto would be defeated, but with that Bastion would gain his full powers back and ALL PRIME SENTINELS would COME BACK online. The entire gold team would be dead and likely Bastion would kill all mutants on the planet. In a choice between stopping Bastion and stopping Magneto, Scott, whether consciously or subconsciously, in that moment decided that he would rather stop eradication of all mutants than eradication of all humans.

Onslaught here we go and Logan will go feraaaal!!

I can't say that either Magnito or Xavier is wrong, because Magnito did try to be better and he had his people and children that he was protecting get killed in front of him for just existing no matter him trying to change, but Xavier is still with, if you buy into the violence and aggression it will be a never ending cycle, like some KZfaq channels say about Black Lives Matter things, how people blame racism instead of taking responsibility or changing things and it is usually always just a blame game as they call it, and for Xavier actually agressing and going on the offensive will just justify the humans hitting them back and it will just be a never ending conflict of we hate them and they hate us and some attack and then others attack and it will always be fights and conflict and killing, but at the same time Magnito just tried to change and he was actually doing his best and he was actually trying to make a difference and protect his people, but they all just get killed only because they merely existing. The doors of both points are valid and open and I'm here for it! 😁 B. Wolverine has always been both a hero and and anti-hero, the only guy I know who balances both, guess he just decided to go full anti here. Also, I LOVE that part mentioning Wolverine being in war as well, because it's a reminder that he too has been through a LOT more s--t, from humans AND mutants alike. (because he's older than Magneto) Yet sees the bigger picture and still sides with the professor, even if he doesn't have all the best or any answers (which is often.) Basically saying that Magneto is not the only one or the Masiah of pain and loss. Also, magneto ripping his skeleton out is something I always feared when I was younger but always thought he couldn't or forgot. So seeing him do it was wild. Hopefully his healing factor can help? I am SO SO SO glad that they're trying to save the Zentinals instead of writing them off as "bad humans," and acknowledging that this is not their will not intent! E. Magneto always seems to go after anyone and everyone *besides* the ones at fault. Why didn't he go after Bastion when he knew he was behind everything? Why go after those who can't or don't know how to fight instead of those who can? Why go after all of humanity instead of the ones responsible? Like nuking the house of the shooter instead of the shooter himself/herself. He has so many valid and good points, but could do a lot more if he found a way to share or maybe even force his feelings onto everyone in the world so that they could see and feel what he's seen and felt, and then they can choose how to act from there. Either via a book or finding an empath and amplifying his or her ability globally. Empathy is more powerful than people realize
