@@leonardhollsten8145 The joke is that the "land" in the name "land speeder" is clearly descriptive. It's really silly for GW to say it's actually named after somebody called "land". Not because "land" is a silly name, but because it would be an absurd coincidence. It would be like if somebody said "steak knives are actually named after their inventor, Johnnathan Steak."

I don't understand why it's such a big deal, this fandom is really dumb. Speeders don't even go on land.

That likely is a silly retcon but that one is not really too terrible. Something being named after someone is not the problem. It's when it's named after someone that just happens to have the name relating to what he invented. What we hear in the video is dumb because the name "land raider" already made sense without us knowing the dude who made it happen to have land is his name. Another example would be the joke chat mentioned about the emperor's name being Jimmy space and making the space marines. Space was not invented by Jimmy it just happens to be his last name and it's a dumb coincidence that just is not necessary for the overall story.
