Tom Aspinall is also a good grappler too. He isn't just a striker as he's been doing jiu-jitsu since he was a kid. He's no walk in the park. We've seen Sergei struggle once he's on the ground. So I think powerwise Sergei and Tom is Jones's biggest threats. Wrestling wise Blaydes and Aspinall are a tough fight for Jones if you're talking about as a whole. Don’t agree with some of Brian’s comments at all here. Jones is without doubt the GOAT in the sport, it’s not a question. Machida, Belfort and Evans were all LWH champions who moved to MW at the end of their careers, they weren’t natural middleweights. Gus 1 yes was tough, Gus 2 it was a beating. Cormier challenged Jones for the belt at LHW in the first fight, Cormier defended said belt at LWH in the second. Both fights were all Jones, they weren’t close. As much as I agree that Tom Aspinall gives Jones issues, it doesn’t take away from the fact he’s established himself without question as the GOAT

Yes but Jones was never undersized against anyone quite the opposite in most of his fights. Stipe will be tough fight in itself. Gane could have been also but for some reason didnt show up. Aspinal is massive and if they fight he wont simply go away lile Gane.

Tom has been a mixed martial artist for most of his life. So no one trick fella. Jones has the experience at a level not many, if any, have reached. Is Bones on the back end of his career because "Aspinal, Aspinal. . .Tommy Aspinal" is certainly the new Lion of the HW UFC division.

You don't know that though. You're just guessing. I understand you love Jones but don't go thinking he's gonna walk through a real HW contender. Maybe re-watch this video cos I'm not sure you took it in 👍🏻

bro how can you say with a straight face jon jones has never faced someone who is as much as a beast as aspinal💀 list of people who r more of a best: rampage jackson (submission rnd 2) gustafson (tko rnd3) dc (ko rnd 3 and dominating dec).... would also destroy aspinall at heavyweight lyoto machita (choked to sleepp) this has been one of the worst takes iv ever heard. also wtf do you mean jon jones MADE dc move down?? dc moved down bc valasquez was champ and was his team mate...he then fought at LHW twice before fighting jones was in the question s.m.h

@AKMcF 11 ай бұрын
Aspinal has the tools to make light work of Jones, Jon would be forced to try take the younger more agile, fitter fighter down and once there if able to keep him down (or if Tom decides to keep it there) is facing an somewhat untested (perhaps unrilvaled ?) Ju-Jitsu game which happens to be aspinals foundational style !

The funny thing is people were talking ab out how Gane was gonna beat Jones and how this guy was the best fighter out there and a killer, Jones was the only one like no he aint and he is a terrible matchup for me, now we got everyone quoting jones talking about how Gane is a bad wrestler, gane is this, gane is that it, its actually hilarious how easy people switch up and how they act like they viewed the fight.And they will always be going like here is this new guy youll never be the best until you beat him too. I just find it funny how everyone changed up how they viewed the Gane fight when everyone walking in was like this is the guy who dethrones Jones

It’s not about MMA maths. It’s about Gane having very little chance against Jones as he can’t wrestle. John proved that by ragdolling him in the first. Tom would absolutely do the same to Gane and compares pretty well on the feet. I’m not some aspinall fanboy, just being realistic. I also think Jones beats him
