The fact that Ian Marter's name is not on the cover of this book along with Tom's is a complete insult to his memory. Tom and Ian co-wrote the original screenplay together between takes when filiming _Doctor Who_ . Marter himself was an excellent writer who wrote several of the _Doctor Who_ Target novels and likely left quite an impression on the original script as well. I know Tom Baker has a huge ego, but snubbing his old friend like this is not cool.

Audible has a narrated version read by THE Tom Baker himself. I could listen to that man for hours (8 hours and 40 minutes, to be precise). Do yourself a favour and pick it up now

New Who critics:The Daleks are supposed to be scary and they're worthless if they aren't treated as a threat! Tom:I like the Daleks cause they're so idiotic and I always beat them. Gotta love The Doctor heh.

Even Tom's voice doesn't seem to change much as he's gotten older. If you just hear his voice without seeing his face, it could easily be him from his years on Doctor Who during the 70s and early 80s.

I love how he stills feels like he is the Doctor. He is like "the Daleks, I beat them, but they never learn". Is awesome because for me he is the most Doctor, if I can use that expression.

Thing is he never really did beat them all the time.In the two stories he did with Daleks, he had the chance to wipe them out in Genesis but choose not to in that famous scene with the wires. He had more success in Destiny of the Daleks as he played two robotic armies against each other and outsmarted them all. He's a wonderful man is Tom and a real favourite of mine. Glad he's still going strong.

Rushy Actually I think Tom would tell the Grim Reaper that he left his scarf in the TARDIS, "would you mind getting it?" That's when the Reaper would hear the click of the key behind him as Tom Baker sends the TARDIS into Oblivion. You don't mess with T-Bone Baker...

The great things about Tom is that he is just naturally funny and of course fully three dimensional, in no way flat. Elizabeth Sladen did leave a little too soon, yet her ending, while utterly heartbreaking, is perfection.

I met Tom back at a convention, in Barking (a place in London), back in 2012 - I met Paul Darrow the same day, but that's a different subject... He signed The Android Invasion for me (DVD version). I truly wanted that signed because it was the first Doctor Who story my family had on video, back in the day, and I thought it would be a tribute to all the years of collecting videos and DVDs... Tom is great to talk to... I never asked him for acting advice, but I did ask him something (can't remember what) but it was what he said, that I took as acting advice, and... my god, it has improved my acting :) I'm really looking forward to reading Scratchman!

Doctor Who Yes I would thank you so much:) And Thank you to the entire team of actors and creators of the show to bring joy and happiness in my life every time I watched an episode. Either it’s the classics or new, good or bad episodes, it doesn’t matter to me! What matters is that you bring me joy every time and that’s something I’m really grateful for. Thank you for entertaining me every Sunday and every day of my life and make me travel in places and times I never thought were possible to see in humans television so for a last time, Thank you Doctor Who for everything:) P.S : I hope you reach 100th anniversary of Doctor Who so I’ll be 64

One afternoon in 1980 while babysitting my youngest niece, we were channel surfing looking for something she might enjoy... and ended up on PBS where part 2 of the the Doctor Who story "The Androids of Tara" was airing. That was my introduction to the show and to Tom Baker, the Doctor who charmed me into becoming a fan. He's still a favorite of mine. :)

I LOVE Tom Baker!!! He IS The Doctor and no one can ever top him in the role. Such a voice, such a presence, and such a true respect for his fans. All new Doctors should take a good hard look at his legacy and learn. He is a living treasure! How has he not been Knighted yet???

Tom Baker has an awesome voice, even at his age. His voice has not aged at all. Will always thank Tom for bringing us some of the best Doctor Who stories ever, on TV, audio and now in book form.
