I thought this was going to be an apology but it came off more as a scripted excuse. I don’t know what happened to Tom but my best guess is his insecurities caught up to him. I still remember when Tom and juji did the video about giving Tom recognition for all his hard work. You could tell a lot of that stemmed from Tom needing the approval of others to define his self worth. What I think he forgot most is juji was around before Tom. Juji started the channel and was the “talent” of the channel. Without Juji the channel would cease to exist. If Tom leaves then Juji can just get a new editor (which he already has) I know Tom brought content to the channel as well but he clearly lost sight of the opportunity that Juji gave him and will now only be able to look back on a once in a lifetime lost opportunity.

i don't understand people patting him on the back for what he did with comments like "stay strong". that sounds like hes going through tribulation that is not directly his own fault. i recommend to tell him to actually "be strong" and display good character in admitting your faults and working to change them.

I don't see anyone patting him on the back. It is more the tone of, we are all humans and make mistakes. Take care of yourself, learn from your mistakes, stay positive, get better, etc. Honestly, pretty easy to tell the mature from immature in this comment section by how quick people are to judge with no information and to assume the worst or simple say hateful things. In the end, move on with your life and continually improve and right your wrongs either with people or in your future actions.

I'm not a huge fan of either of these two, and only caught an episode here and there over the years, but what I can say is that Tom did strike me as a bit of a moody and negative individual. And now with all the allegations coming out, it seems he's a much more dysfunctual character than I thought. Sucks to be him right now because he'll be losing out on a whole lot of revenue and admiration that their channel brought in.
@twistedbus3443 жыл бұрын
Coming from a long time fan of the channel, that's isn't claiming to have seen this coming, Describing Tom as moody is not wrong, it was always clear that he has depression, he would always put himself down, while constantly trying to show off at the same time, most people with narcissism develop it, because they can't deal with the feeling like they are completely worthless. Tom needs a lot of mental help, most people do, sadly we all don't get it. not that, that excuses what he has done.

@@zaynmalice7106 from my understanding, yes it is. And even if it isn't, they had a contract stating that all business decisions and money taken from the company by one party needed to be given the green light by the other two parties. Ownership percentage only effected shares of the profits.

Its not even Sam. Its Juji, Tom, and a woman named Erin. She was Tom's friend who owned iirc 10% of Grip Genie and over the years took on a more managerial role in the company. Like, she got into this situation via her friendship with Tom. And still was part of the civil suit against him.

Release anything at this point and youll be showered with kisses by your remaining followers and build back up from there. Its smart. In this case it may not work because Tom was just the cameraman and wont have many devote followers. Some people liked him, lots didnt but even those that did just viewed him as a side character in Jujis movie.
