Never saw footage of Tom decked out in Hornets or 76ers apparel until today. Kudos for digging this stuff out of the vault. Always enjoy watching the old Clippers highlights, too.

Chambers was very talented player. I remember watching the all star game that he filled in for somebody, during his Seattle Supersonics days. That all star game was played in Seattle. He became MVP of that particular all star game.

They are putting Manu Ginóbili from Argentina in the HOF and not Tom Chambers? Nuts! Just nuts! Who would have Ginóbili been without Robinson, Duncan or Parker? Scottie Pippen? Overated. Chris Mullen? Great shooter. 20000 points. Tom Chambers. 20000 points. Somebody has it in for TC 24 like somebody did not want Isiah Thomas on the Dream Team. Politics folks! Same sort of reason so many hate....yes...Trump? Cheers.

one thing that hurt him was that he played in the western conference and the lakers just beat his teams all the time until 1990

This was great man, I remember watching him play in the late 80s right through to about 1990, he was an UNSTOPPABLE scorer down low, really really good and quick in the post and he's take it out and face you up---He REALLY WAS Dirk Nowitski before there was a Dirk Nowitski

Tom was better than Dirk. He shot 3s like Dirk, but no one could stop him once he took off - his hang time is incredible! Watch his dunks in slo-mo, he was a bad man on the court - for the rim. He did routine reverse dunks that would drive fans wild today. He could block shots, too! he was better than Larry Bird, all around. I know what's coming next....

@@Guide1089 I will agree with you Tom Chambers was a bad man. But Dirk is another level or two above Tom, besides the NBA championship.

I never knew until now that Chambers had played for Charlotte, or that he and Terry Cummings had played for Philadelphia in the late '90s.

i don't know why he was never in more all star games either, seems like all star selections have been bias and more about popularity.. in the past and even now, definitely belongs in the HOF

Tom Chambers was like a stronger, more athletic version of Nowitzki. He would easily average 30 in today's game.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I'm 5'10", and a good height for my era for a Japanese-American. At church, I tried to be a Tom Chambers like player. He signed in his dotage with Phoenix in 1997-98. He got traded to Philadelphia for Marko Milic (who dunked over a car), because Chambers punched out the Phoenix Suns trainer! Wth!

Tom Chambers definitely seemed in better shape in 98. Alas, he was 38 and Larry Brown did not like offense first players who played weak defense.

i remember he came back to the suns from philly.........at a practice, one of the trainers told him he should hang em up, chambers socked him and tried to fight.....like 2 days later he retired, he knew, just hard to accept

This is kinda weird. I mean i don't remember this player. But from the videos i just watched it seems that someone in the nba has some odds with him that he doesn't know about or something. He defiantly should be in the hall of fame.

All the Dirk comparisons are hilarious. Yeah he's a white forward, so he's basically a combination of Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Love, Billy Cunningham, Larry Bird, Bob Petit, and Andrei Kirilenko. Actually his game might have resembled Billy Cunningham's a lot, but he's more like a taller but Barkley only not as good on the boards, or maybe Blake Griffin with less passing skills.
