Both of their insight is certainly valuable. I just have a hard time looking at Will without thinking how the hell is saving a dog in danger where he needs to run to their aid. No shade only facts, but he's overweight and unfit.

Thank you for taking the time to talk about e-collars and prong collars. I used to be completely against them - then I educated myself and my opinion did a 180. These tools save countless lives. I just wish more people would be willing to be open minded and take just a little time to learn, instead of digging their heels in to argue against them, just because other people do.

The misinformation is astronomical abouts these tools. Of course we use other tools first but when those fail, so many people give up and dogs get surrendered or put down. Thank you for being open minded and seeing the value of these tools. I hope more people start to understand that these tools can me l8fe saving and can improve both your lives tremendously. The proof is in the pudding with these amazing trainers. Thank you for not giving up on your pup and opening your mind and educating yourself on these topics.

My two favorite trainers! I’ve learned so much from these two and it’s really helped with our reactive pit bull mix rescue! He’s human reactive and we made a promise to be his family forever…but not gonna lie, it was a struggle for the first few months. Implementing the techniques these two use has made such a huge difference for us! Max thanks you both for making his life better! 😊

I came across this video this morning and wanted to let you both know that you have both helped me with my minpin. He’s two. Jude attended boards and train at STK9 in St. Pete FL. This is after doing group training at the St. Petersburg Dog training club for basic training. I love Will’s soft but firm confidence and Tom’s patience knows no bounds. I just watched the video of the lady and the fluffy little dog. I just wanted to holler shut up! This is something I had to learn because of blah, blah, blah syndrome. Jude could not hear what I wanted him to do because it was covered up with noise. This is my second minpin. Levi passed at 14 1/2. We trained well. I knew I would have to. So when I decided on a new minpin I thought I’ve done this before, I can do this again. While forgetting that I was15 years older. Not as agile or enduring. So thanks to you and other trainers of all types. Jude loves to watch training videos. I always learn something.

I love this because I started my training of Nola with Will and an online 30 day boot camp. I’m still continuing that but also added your training and techniques to her training. You’re both great and so helpful to anyone that has a dog with aggression issues. Nola I adopted from a rescue group at 5mo old and came with a boat load of issues (trauma, never being on leash, leash aggression and food allergies (lots of vet visits in fist 2 weeks)). She and I have come such a long way in the last 1.5mo of training with Will and your videos. Spent $$$ with in-person trainer and other “positive only” and heavy food rewards. Now I have the obedient basics, crate training, verbal & treat training as well as proper equipment and when/how to use properly.

Thank you so much for saying that you don’t have to help every person and every dog, but if you can help one person and one dog… That means everything. I have been on Rover for a while as a dog walker, but one day I received a phone call because of a flyer That I had posted about six months earlier. The lady just wanted a dog walker. I scheduled a meet and greet with her and her dog. It became obvious from the very beginning that this dog needed boundaries. The owner had scheduled an appointment with a “behaviorist “. She asked me if I would be willing to be there when the behaviorist came to evaluate her dog. I agreed. the behaviorist said that her dog was feral and basically went into a mental breakdown. She told my customer that she should surrender the dog to the rescue that she adopted the dog from in the first place. Long story short… When the “behaviorist” left the house, the owner said I will be more than happy to work with YOU BUT THERE’S NO WAY I CAN WORK WITH HER. FAST FORWARD 2 1/2 MONTHS. MY CUSTOMER ISN’T EVEN REMOTELY CONSIDERING GETTING RID OF THE DOG ANYMORE. ALTHOUGH I CAN HONESTLY SAY I WISH SHE WOULD RESPECT MY ADVICE, I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO TRY TO HELP HER BUILD HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER DOG. THERE’S NO QUESTION, THE DOG HAS A DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIP WITH ME BECAUSE SHE KNOWS I MEAN BUSINESS, BUT SHE ALSO KNOWS I’LL PAY HER WHEN SHE DOES WHAT I ASK. ANYWAY, I REALLY APPRECIATED THE POINT IN THE VIDEO. WHEN YOU SAD I CAN’T HELP EVERY PERSON AND EVERY DOG BUT WHEN I KNOW THERE IS A PERSON AND A DOG THAT I CAN HELP, I WILL. PARAPHRASING, OF COURSE… THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU BOTH. I AM SUBSCRIBED TO BOTH OF YOUR CHANNELS, AND I WATCH BOTH RELIGIOUSLY. AS FAR AS MY COMMENT IS CONCERNED, I’M SORRY IF THERE ARE ALL CAPS. I DIDN’T INTEND FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. FOR SOME REASON SOMETIMES THAT HAPPENS BUT I’M USING VOICE TO TEXT. ANYWAY, I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. IT’S BEEN BEAUTIFUL.

I gravitated to both of you on KZfaq when I began educating my family on how to raise our first pup. While you do not “do the basic obedience and puppy training” stuff anymore I’d “argue” that your videos educated us in how important the basics are and in many of your videos if not all with adult reactive dogs you bring the owners back to place, heel, creating engagement with the dog, how important a good stay and come are etc …. The “tricks” of a command are easy to teach however you both have taught me why and how to bring the meaning into what I train my dog to do, and more importantly how to get my dog to look up to me for “loving leadership and direction”! Thank You!

Don’t care what anyone says, the only reason my 2.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback is the dog he is is because I found these two gentlemen and another Canadian guy. Jax was well on his way to being out of control and it has been an insane amount of work but he’s come so far. No we aren’t perfect and we could be better, but at least he is under control. You have given me the strength to change the things I can, the courage to accept the things I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference. Or something like that lol.

Self doubt, part of the learning curve. Watch the success you are having with the dogs, sometimes owners seeing this will believe you. Been doing training for 12 years and will never tire of learning. I used to be disappointed on a daily basis if I hadn’t learnt something that day on dog training. Love these two lads.

Thank you for your work. THANK YOU from a non-hearing viewer for allowing auto-captions. As a trainer, probably work with deaf, you know speech reading's not more than 40% with context & perfect face body view. Thanks all around.

Learned a lot in this video! We don't have much space in our house so we go outside to "step 3" and I think it's really been a struggle from the get go. Makes sense! We gotta get creative to make some more room in the home.

Self-doubt encourages learning, Self-doubt keeps you on an even keel, Self-doubt reminds you that you are human, Self-doubt encourages curiosity and stops you from getting too big for your boots. People who know and experience Self-doubt will always be open to other peoples problems. Some people become arrogant as they become successful- You two care, care for dogs, you both have a special talent and understanding. You have something very rare - you have Empathy. Hopefully neither of you will ever loose it....

Just adopted a pup about a month & a half ago & I feel so lucky to have come across you two as central resources in learning to be the best I can for her. No problems with her behavior at all, but getting ahead of it with as much as I can until I can purchase a more thorough course. What you do changes lives (for both people & dogs!), thank you!

I just want to thank both of you for all the content you put in you tube. In response to those who do not like your prices much great information can be gleaned on you tube. If you used these basics you see here you are leaps and bounds down the road to a good dog. Loving leadership equals no bad dogs😊. Thanks again

I liked what your guest said that he help train others trainers and other possible trainers. I just want to be a volunteer to train people with their dogs and dog shelters and dog rescues. I am not trying to make money, too many people are doing this. I just want to help people and their dogs for the sake of God. Problem: people like me, that want to be a trainer, no one wants to train us unless money is attached. This is unfortunate. If you truly want people who love dogs, and want to be able to help people like me, both of your organizations should be available to those people like me who only want to help people at no cost. I will probably not get a response, its ok, I will continue to support and educate myself in helping people and their dogs through information on free services, etc. Thank you for this KZfaq podcast.
