Joey, I appreciate your work. Your interviews would take a big step up if you stop interrupting your guests. These are long form interviews, yet so often when someone interesting starts going deep into a subject, you cut them off. It's frustrating as a listener. Just trying to be constructive here. Keep up the good work. Thanks!

The comment from Paul that Tom discussed, reminds me of a tourney I played in 2019 during the Goliath at the Planet Hollywood in Vegas. As I sit at my first table a discussion breaks out and the accents were from all over the world. As they start laughing and going down the line, I was the only American at the table and I felt very fortunate to play a game that brought people from all over the world. They asked where I was from and I wanted to give them an answer that I thought would resonate globally so I asked them if they were familiar with horse racing as I live in the city that hosts the Kentucky Derby. Some knew it, some didn't but I enjoyed playing with them in a game that we obviously all love, all while having very diverse backgrounds.

@kersey333
@kersey333 3 жыл бұрын
Tom is still deeply involved in the game. Probably doesn’t want to talk about stuff that is going to put him on tilt, lose his spot in the game etc. To me Tom shouldn’t have to pay Jungleman a cent considering FT went belly up
@asgerlyng9619
@asgerlyng9619 3 жыл бұрын
i agree. I would have loved to hear some of those topics as well. I do think Tom might have had some issues with some of the topics and asked joey not to talk about them fx the jungle situatiuon and the big asia games. It seemed like the interview mostly focused on topics that Tom wanted to talk about, and also the fact that it was realesed on pokerking yt channel instead of joeys podcast. Joey probably just accepted all these conditions just to get the interview, which he has been hunting for years

I thought this was refreshing. Clearly this was what was on his mind. I mean how many times did the guy say “solve for” or “game economy” lol, but that aside this was like having a real conversation with Tom in the present. I actually thought the interview with Ivey was a throw away, because just like Tom said at the end there are consequences if he tells certain details or stories. And they are always asked the same questions about the past and give the same answers. We heard that already. And again, as Tom said he’s just going to say no comment. Ivey did just that.

That would be really cool if he did, because it's pretty obvious he has some crazy stories. A lot of things have happened in his life that no one has a clue about it. I'm a Chinese player. I play a single table with my mobile phone on a single number. There is no partner card and no cheating. Unexpectedly, your security management team has also given me a seal, sealing me more than 30000 yuan. The reason is that the card game is abnormal. Please provide ID card information and face recognition. I would like to ask if you are a national unit. What illegal thing does a gambling platform want to do with the face recognition of players? After I provided my ID card, I still said that my account was frozen and could not be unsealed.. Then I searched for relevant titles on the Internet. A large number of players posted Posts saying that they were all blocked by you for no reason. A good platform was made so bad by you. It is extremely bad in the reputation of the players. It is commonly known as the king of black money. I don't know whether you are going to close down and can't continue to operate by freezing the funds of the players, or your management team, The bottom level personnel privately freeze the player's funds to transfer to their own accounts.. Moreover, the frozen account funds are not in the public notice. Please check the platform management carefully.

I love Dwan, but you can tell that he's been playing poker for years. He's always telling parts of the truth, never the whole truth. He dances around the numbers(his wins and losses), who the fish are, who the sharks are, his net worth, what he's up to now, etc.

People have fallen far from there natural selfs. Stuck in the five senses; the nature of reality is truly amazing and if people only knew the truth it would be a utopian society just like hundreds of thousands of years ago when humans could hold their breath underwater for hours could telepathically communicate with other entities from other realms, one could make random objects spontaneously combust using one's mind we were complete beings at one point but now we are rendered useless like an animal we are farmable and the entities that have taken us over and what I mean by that is they have hijacked our reality because they look like us just like in the movie the blue people it's pretty similar to that in the sense that the navi which were the blue people lived in harmony and then something infiltrated that group but that's something looked exactly like the navi which were the blue people so they got infiltrated from the inside because someone looked like them so they accepted them because they looked like them.

Funny how Joey was complaining about Joe not letting Ike Haxton finish his thoughts on the JRE podcast. Now here he is, many years later finishing Dwans sentences. Hard to keep that ego in check.

@@chrisg7340 I'm sorry. Are you somehow Joey's brain? Or just some fan trying to justify a silly approach? 'Cause if I have a conversation with you and you dodge an answer I'll straight up call you on it. Not to mention the times he roasted Dwan, now he's all giddy like nothing ever happened. You might think he knows what Tom thinks, because you're probably 20 but I'll tell you it's an extremely ignorant approach to assume you know what other people think.

Please, dont let live poker die. It is actually why we love poker so much. Playing and watching it. The human element of skill, tilt, personality, tells, style, mood, purpose, passion, whim, etc, and of course luck. It let's to still have some control of the game and decision making, whether right or wrong mathematically or logical.

Tom is super smart and thinks of things at a deep level. Humans will hopefully always be able to put innovate AI and it’ll likely only be small changes that humans can easily adapt at that will hopefully hold it back. It’ll also make human players better because competition is a good thing.
