probably not the place to ask but watched this after i was an phil ivey article about him being probably broke,are all the poker players getting staked most of the time or are these just some exceptions?

Staking is a lot more common than most people think, but there are a fair number of high stakes players who built up their own bankroll over time. But when you're talking about the TV high stakes cash games where players are sometimes sitting with $1M+ stacks, I'd bet that almost all of them have sold some at least some of their action. Very few people are sufficiently bankrolled to be able to lose $500k-$2M in a single session.

Some poker players are big scammers....same as Wall Street....opm....they use other people’s money.

Most of the bigger players sell pieces of themselves to get staked. There are very few poker players who don't gamble a ton elsewhere e.g. sports, other players, coin flips, raindrops running down a window. A large proportion of them go 'broke', at least once, during their playing career. That doesn't mean out on the streets as such, but they will lose their bankroll and have to build it from scratch. Often...by selling pieces of themselves.

Agreed. As far as the Challenge, he won't finish it. Cates was beating him handily. Plus, he's in makeup to the Asians as it is.

It seems like he payed out half the payout which seems fair. If the challenge is going to cause him to go broke it's unreasonable that he would finish it. Jungleman made $2M from the challenge and made a name for himself I think he's good.
