Hear me out, we should have been talking about politics this whole time. In the end it’s our duty, job, and responsibility to make sure our government is running the way it’s supposed to. The problem is, they’ve created a society that hates politics, and does not want anyone to talk about it. At the end of the day, it’s still needs to be talked about. Rap has always been the best gateway for starting a conversation. We just need to relax on our response to someone else’s opinion.

Also, many of us have actually paid attention to politics prior to the bad reality shiiitt show we are living through now. Music, movies, books, art etc. Is an escape from reality. Most people who claim to be into politics nowadays are usually just shilling for 1 corrupt party/politician over the other corrupt party/politician 100% across the board. Nobody should be getting their political ideologies from their favorite musician, athlete, or actor.

Yes he has had a few songs hit the radio and his song Ghost was even played by Wal Mart for a while and Mac is divorced and billboard did cancel digital sales because of the Brave 2 album if they counted the digital sales of that album Tom would have gotten #1 in all categories he still got 8 #1's without digital sales but yes that is when billboard canceled that #HOG4EVER

Can we please stop with the Tech N9ne comparison⁉️ Tech was part of groups, released music under labels, then partnered to create a label and as far as I know, does not make his own beats. This is not to take away from Tech N9ne's accomplishments, instead to give Tom the credit he really deserves! Most know Tom writes all his songs, creates all his beats. Tom & Nova conceptualize Tom's videos and of course Nova works the hooks with Tom and directs and edits his videos. Tom is as independent as one can get, no releases under a label, ever. Therefore, currently the biggest true/fully ndependent artist right now.

Travis is his long time friend that wanted him to get his music out there... yes Tech is signed to a label, but the label itself is Independent..... Strange makes some of their own beats but with Strange having different people signed and different genres signed in the past it gave them a big variety of plugs to different people that make beats.... so technically Tech is Independent, since the label he is signed to is Independent as well... no help from Dre or 50 or Em or Jay Z or P Diddler or Jermaine...... just Tech and Trav.....

As for your confusion about the line in this song about "your song is on KZfaq, mine is on the radio", he is speaking in the third person. i casually played this song for my mom when i was driving her around, she does not like fast rowdy music. After the song i turned to her, and she said "Tom sure had a lot to get off his chest." which at first surprised me but then i realized she listens to his more chill songs like "Scars" "Fighter" and "Ghost". for context my mom is 62. Tom has a rare ability to speak in a way that captures people of all ages.

This is an Epic Track!!!!!!! This might be Tom's greatest track ever. As a producer, the music is huge with so many layers. The length of the song is brilliant. This is "Stairway to Heaven" or "Roundabout" or "Come Sail Away" for Rap. There were music and style change ups just like a Prog Rock song and even has some solos (when Tom Raps with no beats). Also for a song this long to have no Choruses is also insane. All the double and triple entendres are a Masterclass in laying down rhymes. You can also tell this is very personal, similar to "Best Rapper Ever". This is a pure art piece, a masterwork that only an artist could create if they were in any kind of "God Mode".

OR) he had made a shit load of money from something else besides music that he hadn't ever talked about; that is a possibility as well.. How much he has grown since then; I could believe pretty much any number now. It's impossible to know and when you own your own shit it will usually mostly be held under the business name. Secondly we're talking about very very big money here, even if their business model was under threat they would simply change their business model, and find new investments. This. I believe what he is saying is he use to be the only consistent rapper doing political rap in today’s music to this extent. While everyone hated or made fun & said it was no good, until they seen what it was doing for Tom’s career. Political rapping has been done before, but nobody has been consistent & made their career from it. I do think he is the one who put it back on the map & was responsible for opening conversations & got ppl asking questions. These ppl coming in is not doing it at the extent Tom is doing. I do believe he is the one that took it and blew it up like it is in today’s music time..

The whole "you don't like my new music" thing I totally get. There are a couple huge bands that I felt that way about as a nu-metal head. But it dawned on me. I am happy for their success. Musicians who are struggling are not going to have the same anger as when they can go pay cash for literally anything they want. You can't expect someone who's broke at 20 to write the same music at 35 as a multi-millionaire. So I have a ton of respect for anyone who can evolve and still gain fans, even if I don't particularly like their newer songs, I still like them.
