As well as being an actor of acclaim, Hanks is a true gentleman, unaffected by his star status yet supremely aware of his impact on his fans. When he goes offstage and hugs David's mum, look at the smiles in the audience. The look on David's face is priceless! Norton says, " Aww! That was so kind of you! " One of the most respected and affable men in show business.

Went off Tom Hanks during this. There is a feeling where where he has to be 'in control' and dominates things. The other two - Walliams and Capaldi look very wary of him. He also crossed the line in slapping Walliams. You can see him dominating the Hollywood movie he was in but doing that to fellow guests on a chatshow? Graham, of course, just giggles

+Steven Cassidy all the celebrities are told what to do and say. without that system, the celebrities would appear uninteresting and no one would watch the show. The presenters have to giggle, to manipulate the viewer into thinking whatever he is laughing at is funnier than it was.

I don't like what Tom Hanks did with the slap. David Walliams seemed appreciative of his mom getting attention and he wasn't met with the same tone. Mr. Hanks took it too far into the mafioso/italiano style and it was still overdone. He needed to touch David Walliams shoulder or arm, but the slapping was just poor role modeling and not nice human behavior.
