The movie wasn't awful. It had great potential. The minotaur could have been designed better I think. Tom Hardy was pretty good very early in his career and I can see why he caught the attention of larger movie studios/producers. He has become a better actor over time. Worth watching if only to see Tom Hardy and how much he has improved in his acting abilities. Thank you for uploading this. I would never have seen it if it hadn't been posted here on youtube.

NICErendition of the ancient story...indeed - Tom Brady is quite an actor...he has an intensity about him that always compelling actually...he was REALLY impressive in his role as the clone of Capt Picard...in that Star Trek: Generations movie...both in the Menace his character possessed...and it s sad humanity...since he was a slave boy...in mines and the "only family i had was " those alien race..that adopted and protected him until he became THEIR imperial leader...vowing to exact revenge on the races that oppressed him and his adoptive race...

It is amazing how perfectly flat cave floors always are in movies. This was actually a far better movie then I expected.

Flat floor caves must be more practical to film in, making lazy directors 🤭. Didn't bother me though. Not using one of the many skeleton bones as a weapon, even though it would not be my 1st weapon of choice, is what did bother me most! Femurs and other long bones for the taking, sharpen them against the walls of the cave, being careful not to blow up the gass, lol, and you got some basic primitive but effective weaponry.

Oddly enough, I've been into quite a lot of caves, and while the floor is obviously never perfectly flat, it always surprised me how level the floors of caves actually are.

@@Dusk.EighthLegion I have been both to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, as well as a cave in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) in the Czeck Republic, as well as some miner caves stateside. They were all flatish. but I figured that that was man made for ease of tourism. I have never been in a "Wild Cave". Cheers!

They actually did a really good job portraying the ancient village. The structures and clothes and where they lived looks fairly accurate according to everything I know from roughly 4 to 5000 years ago.

I've seen a few Minotaur movies in my 60 some years life 😏 and this one was different for sure 👏 let me ending I thought it was pretty good 🤩 not as boring as the minotaurs I've seen in the past 🤗 kudos to the production company, and their design team Minotaur can have been cleaned up a little better but all in all good movie thank you guys for putting it out there 😁🤩♥️

Ehhhh, not quite history. Mythology, yeah . And they kind of got it wrong. Monitor was fabled to have been killed by a prince with a magic string to not get lost in the they labyrinth and the prince kills it while it sleeps. Lots of artistic license was taken here even away from the legend but its folk lore and minotaur supposed to have a mans body too but yes the minoans from Crete did invade other Greek islands. That was a real empire. Suppose to have been wiped out by a title wave. Mythology is not history though dude.

It is not the true story of the myth of Minoans of Creta, Athenians, and also about Thysseas(sun of king Aigeas of Athens) who killed the Minotaur. Daughter of king Minoas Ariadni helped Thysseas to tie a thread to the entrance so that does not get lost, to find Minotaur and to kill him. Labyrinth was a complicated building into the palace of Knossos. After that Thysseas, his companions and princess Ariadni returned to Athens, and so the sacrifice of the youth Athenians ended.

I love seeing old Tom Hardy movies or, rather, his early flicks. He puts 110% of himself into his acting. He was great in Capone - even if the movie's not so great, Tom Hardy is! This is good movie! Thanks for the upload!

It’s ironic that you mention that because many of the oracles who lived in Italy and Greece resided in caves. The cave mentioned in homers odyssey and Iliad have been found. These caves are filled with natural gases from volcanic activity beneath the ground.. In short, they were high as the sky when doing their rituals.

Not a bad movie, contrary to the other comments. It's from early in his acting career, but his talent is there nonetheless. It trips along quite nicely, though it has its "moments". All in all a fair way to pass an hour and a half. 7/10.

Yep, while lost in a labyrinth, stalked by a Minotaur and alone... panic and make as much noise as you can and call everyone else into the killing zone to help you.. probably a strong independant woman normally, Karen. Then screaming Kill the witch, bringing more attention.. 😅😅 Minotaur 1, Karen 0. Dude could have gone "passport bro" and saved a lot of drama... and the end, after saving the women, covered in blood and gore, they can't even wipe him off, even without a happy ending.
