I completely understand Tom when he said that he's "scared of his own imagination" but I don't think he necessarily meant "imagination" it's self, but the curiously and openness that accompanies it. That at times, can lead you down some pretty dark places if you let yourself get too close.

I agree it actually is very scary i think we all have let ourselves go into that dark path without knowing it and the scary thing is that sometimes you can actually somehow make all that come true wich i find completely terrifying, but sometimes it is beautiful when we can control it and always imagine wonderful things

@@333br some of us have the evil kind of imagination that knows what we are most afraid of. What bothers us most. What hurts us most. It can be pretty rough.. especially if our senses are very vivid. I imagine rain for a moment. I can't just see it in my mind, zooming past and making ringlets in water, I can feel if on the palms of my hands, feel it clatter on my head. Smell it in the air. Hear the sound rushing past my ears and plop in drops hitting that river I find myself imagining standing by.. There are sounds of birds and trees in my mind, and I fell a chill across my skin as my clothes are getting soaked.. All of it in a split second. It literally takes much longer to write it out like this. I know it isn't real when I do that, but it's the kind of imagination young kids can have.. Now imagine experiencing your worst fears that way too, and sensing it just as accutely.. a million and one split seconds. We are all capable of imagining terrible things. Most of us are capable of doing terrible things under the right circumstances. We're not actually more likely than anyone else to act on such intrusive thoughts, but we are aware of what *could" happen, if we should care less. Does it make sense now?

I can relate. I'm a creative person but my own imagination scares me sometimes too. The more I learn about this man, the more I respect and admire him. The most introspective people are the ones who are aware of their own minds and how their actions affect others. It's a deep answer and you can tell that he's thought about this question before. I'd really like to get to know him as a friend; he seems like a cool person.

When I say that this man is incredible. He is so selfless, he gives his time to others. He does not say that he is afraid of death, spiders as most people would say. No, he says he is afraid of the future that humans reserve and reserve for the Earth. It is incredible, I am proud to see that there are men like him in this world.

I can definitely relate to both. For the imagination, it's terrifying the know what your mind can come up with and how lost you can get in your own head. For carelessness, it's kinda like feeling that any moment everything is going to come crashing down.

this is beautiful because there are people who are afraid of regular normal things for example i am honestly afraid of the dark not gonna lie about that but the fact that he said he's afraid of his imagination first is very very important actually (and i think us imaginative creative people agree) it's way too hard to not imagine what the future is like one day and yes carelessness is very scary to for a lot of reasons like we all are afraid of something with different backstorys we don't all fear something from the same exact reason but ya what he says here is very good and really important (to me at least) because i do fear the future of all living creatures and i think we all agree that the imagination never ever leaves you so ya those things are scary and he actually has a very very good point here. great great person he is.

People can do so much damage, not even through carelessness but through apathy. Because we get worn out.. we stop doing things that used to be characteristic of ourselves. Make a stand for what we feel is right less often..We've all had times like that. Forgive yourself, and go learn something new. Volunteer. Draw with kids.. Eat some shawarma for the first time? ;) Regain a fresh perspective and renew your sense of wonder so you can recognize yourself in the mirror again. Because the worst things we can imagine? We're not actually very likely to do those things or they wouldn't bother us so much.. They can wear on us though.. so take the time for the small things that recharge us.. ❤️
