@@emperoremyhriv4968 A stupid man, or woman, is one that suffers from such antisocial tendencies as the urge to be insulting, and provocative, against one who never meant to be offensive. You read my comment and you assumed i tried to be dismissive towards mr Hollander. I was not. In greece, my country, we have a saying: ''όσο μπόϊ του λείπει, τόσο ταλέντο έχει!'', which roughly means: ''what he lacks in height, he has, and much more, in talent!'' And i assure you, none of us have wicked intentions as we do this. I actually find him adorable. So, unless you call my people stupid, and through us, as such, the country itself, i recommend you apologize for the ill intentions you wrongly assumed and/or insinuated i have, and do try in the future to control your tongue.

@@vardellsfolly5200 I never insulted or provoked you personally as far as I am concerned . I said clearly " Stupid comment from your behalf " . I berated the comment and not you. If you baked a cake for me , then I proceeded to taste the cake and remarked " the cake tastes terrible" , I am pretty sure that's an insult to the cake not to you who baked the cake. And I love how you assumed that I assumed that your comment was an insult to Mr.hollander when this wasn't the case at all . Instead, this was just your baseless assertions . So , to correct you , A Stupid man ,or woman who suffers from antisocial tendencies is one that can't take criticism without getting defensive. BTW, you also supposedly " returned " the insult with that opening of yours in your previous comment . Now , as for the main point, I understand but I still don't get how height correlates to talent or skill in any sense . That's like saying " He's mexican but he can wash the dishes " . " But " is a word for contrast . How does height contrast skill or talent ? That's my question, sir .

@@emperoremyhriv4968 It is always fascinating to me, that when people are exposed for their hypocrisy, they always resort to futile wordplaying, avoiding a simple apology- you see their pride, perhaps arrogance, knows no limits. Isn't this paradox amusing? Σomething that knows no such, narrows someone's understanding, considerably reducing their perception, as it lessens their mind creativity at the same time? Interesting, no? What a bizarre contradiction.. And the futility of their position is that their own arguments are not only illogical, therefore none of them are either convincing or satisfactory but are also lack sense, and in the end, they turn against them. For example, you are hiding behind this excuse: "I never insulted or provoked you personally'' although the statement itself: "Stupid comment from your behalf'' clearly is an offense. Not to you, of course, it is apparent from your position that you shall never admit any faults, and admitting will rarely if never come from the man/woman who claimed: ''I never insulted or provoked you personally as far as I am concerned''. Or even worse, you just might be that senseless that you do not even understand you are doing it.. No. In your mind you.. attack the comment itself, and not indirectly me, as if those two elements are entirely different concepts, and totally independent, and not the one and the very same. As my statement has a free will and it has no relevance to me.. as it.. magically and mysteriously conceived itself because immediately after that, you resort to this most unimaginative excuse to desperately justify your behavior: ""If you baked a cake for me , then I proceeded to taste the cake and remarked " the cake tastes terrible" , I am pretty sure that's an insult to the cake not to you who baked the cake." So, δear sir/madam allow me to clarify something truly simple to you, since i used to be one, a long time ago. A cook(not that this is a necessity to make the following conclusion). When the product of your attempts is poor, in the greatest majority of professions, a logical man won't attack the cake itself, as if it had a conscience, but the one who made it. Is is rather apparent that their skills are.. lacking. Using your own standards, the/any action itself and it's quality, are both not the product of one's free will, nor the skills of the one that produce it, but.. the action itself. Let us take the ''cause and effect'' law and just.. throw it out of the window, shall we? It was not mr Derek Chauvin who killed mr George Floyd. It was just his.. knee. And of course, in your example, you would insult the cake itself, and not the one who made it- which is the same, really. You see, this is another example of a wrong approach, which brings us back exactly to where we started. Here you have two choices. First, hold your tongue, refrain from becoming rude and antisocial and secondly.. becoming rude and antisocial. As i shall explain soon. Then you carry on by declaring this: "And I love how you assumed that I assumed that your comment was an insult to Mr.Hollander when this wasn't the case at all . Instead, this was just your baseless assertions .'' I am very, very entertained by the last phrase. ''Baseless assertions.'' This, coming from a man/woman who just.. coincidentally and quite conveniently blamed the cake, not the cook. ''Baseless''. This from a stranger in youtube who, by their own words, correlated that word ''stupid'' with my statement, yet simultaneously refuses to take responsibility for this indirect attack. Well, i ask you, rhetorically, if the statement was illogical, why choosing the word ''stupid'' as to describe it in the first place, instead of another one with clearly benevolent intentions, anyone for that matter, as to avoiding creating the wrong impressions? Why not avoiding judging it entirely, and simply ask: "what do you mean, dear sir/madam?" And avoid this entire confrontation.. A simple, yet effective question, without any negative content within it. But you did not. When you could have done so. That is interesting, too. It really did picked my curiosity as to why you know you chose a provocative word, instead of asking the simplest question, that even a child could conceive. Σo, allow me to wake you up from your delusions. A Stupid man ,or woman who suffers from antisocial tendencies is one that insults his dialogist, hiding behind childish, immature excuses, using illogical arguments to completely avoid taking responsibility, desperately trying to take the upper hand as they expose their own selves for what they are. A social man or woman.. simply asks. You can refute this to your heart's desire.. But it would be utterly futile. BTW when one is attacked, yes, imagine that! They tend to respond in kind! But since you just.. ignore the cause and effect law, the simplest idea never crossed your mind. When you read something, anything for that matter, and you wish clarification, or you are not sure of your conclusions just.. politely try to ask someone to explain their arguments, and don't be rude, and in return, you shall see that your conversationalist is indeed polite. Well, this one would be! But apparently, if you disagree with someone, and you are oblivious to their intentions, the kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bKd_ocWZ0Z-UZqc.html option, doesn't cross your mind! So, next time, do not blame someone for your blunt nature. Now, as for your main point, again, when you do not ''get'' something, it does not mean that there is nothing there, it means, well.. it eluded you. Be polite, be kind, ask and learn. You never did bother asking, i noticed. If your aims were truly positive and honorable, and i just ''misunderstood'' something, where is the question which would have proved your good intentions, and how was that formed? There is none. Shall i make the effort, i wonder, as to satisfy your curiosity? Very well. tHE ''but'' part, was as in ''what he does not have in stature" as in ''because he happens to be short'', ''has in skill''. It's a wordplay, but in.. different kind, if you catch my drift, because yours: " He's mexican but he can wash the dishes " is wicked, malevolent and just racist, and it is aiming at one's nationality, as in ''there is something inferior in that'' and not one's height. The first has good intentions, the latter, wicked ones but i also noticed that you, coincidentally.. confused them, as if they were the one and the same. Apparently, you do not understand. In the end, either your logic is flawed, and your perception is non-existent, or you are pretentious. Σο, ιν conclusion, let us agree to disagree. Again, there was nothing dismissive about my statement towards mr Hollander, apparently many people understood and agreed to that, you have your views, apparently i have mine, therefore carry on, as i shall. Have a nice day(no irony or sarcasm used here).

@joaoproenca2443
@joaoproenca2443 5 жыл бұрын
@@ellenorchid01 It's not exactly working class either. Tom Hollander's accent, like those of many British actors of his generation, is an amalgamation of different forms of southern English pronunciations. There's a bit of RP there, and a bit of cockney, no doubt, but in this day and age, your traditional posh English accent is very different to what it was twenty years ago, so it't closer to posh than to working class.
@dejavu2752
@dejavu2752 3 жыл бұрын
@@ellenorchid01 no, no, this is not at all 'working class' or cockney (he's not a Cockney.. and he was at Cambridge!), It's RP, but much more subdued than in the film. Example. If you go back to the scene where he comes into Pine's room while he's recovering from the injuries, you can hear a very thick RP: "What do we call you, by the way? When I was doing the forms at the hospital, I had a conundrum! Well, I thought, this is a bit rum… Is he a Thomas Quince, or is he a Jonathan Pine? So I put Mordecai Phillips. Hahaha To this day I’ve no idea why"
