One of my Dad's favorite songs... The Welsh connection with Tom Jones and my family too ... What's best about this is the performance matches the message... They are being represented by the content of their talent, and not the divisive and superficial color differences that surely will pass as we all go to bone color and then to spiritual brilliance color.

This concert was not in France but in the Netherlands on 15 February 1974, the show/programme was called. grand gala du disque which may have giving you the impression that this was in France. Grand Gala du Disque was an annual Dutch gala sponsored by local record companies. The Grand Gala du Disque was created in 1960, as an evening where Edison Awards would be presented, and a variety of national and international artists would perform. For many years it was the most popular radio and TV show of the year in Holland. I am a big Elvis fan but also love Tom Jones and this show in 74 is the best Tom jones show I have ever seen .. the show in itself is much longer than this clip ..
