Hi ! Just caught this. Tom and Nova were broke. Their electricity was turned off. Tom went out to smoke his last half of a cigarette when he sat down and started to write. He finished this song in about 15 to 20 minutes. He ran back into the house and told Nova that he thought he just wrote the song that would change their life. They ran an extension cord from their neighbors house to theirs so they could have light to shoot the video. Nova shot the video and edited it. The next day Tom borrowed money from family and friends to buy an ad on Facebook . He was able to raise $1200 . He put all of that on the ad. There's a fine line with showing emotions with your girl, depends on what about etc and how go about, also just how much she has respect for you to begin with n how much respect you command from others, as well how masculine you are...if a real man n if she cares about you it shouldn't be an issue. I’m sorry, but your mum’s advice is setting you up for a lifetime of failed relationships. Your mum is either single or she has only had toxic relationships. When you find the right girl it is essential that you tell and show her how you truly feel or you will never keep her. Not sharing any feelings at all is a total disconnect and a guaranteed fail. No connection, no respect, no loyalty, no relationship. I met my husband drunk in a nightclub when I was 18 years old. It was a long weekend and my flat mate worked behind the bar at the club so I had been on a three day bender (I must have looked like shit 😂). We moved in together after only knowing each other for 5 days. He passed away last years but we were solid for 38 years. We discussed everything in private and never argued in front of others. This meant that no one could ever come between or divide us because we knew exactly where we stood with each other and we had each other’s back. 💜
