My mom was raped and got pregnant just before she started dating my dad. When she delivered the baby, my dad decided he didn't want the baby. So my mom put the baby up for adoption. My wonderful grandparents adopted that baby and raised him as their son. He is my brother, but was raised as my uncle.

The problem with using rape as an excuse is…. It’s a small percentage and all it does is continue a circle of violence. We can’t say a baby conceived in love or consent has more value and worth than a baby conceived in rape or by a accident. Either all life has meaning and matters or no life has meaning and no life matters.

This is why I love y’all, your normal people. To many are out there in their own corners, white, black, brown ect… y’all are like me and so many real Americans, none of that shit matters. If we stay together the rest can not take us over. Let’s bring sanity back.

Couple things on this one to clarify and maybe shed light on some of the bars. The part where Tom brought up dead beat dads and the pro choice comparison actually holds weight. Everyone should agree about the right to not bring a child into the world when you deal with rape or incest. I don’t think that’s what he’s speaking on. I think he’s pointing out that it’s easy to lay in the bed with someone but when that baby comes along you have to take responsibility. If the father doesn’t, it’s accepted to call him a dead beat. But if it’s a female acting promiscuous and ignorant then doesn’t want the responsibility, she isn’t shunned as much Also the 85% of blacks making up a prison isn’t countrywide. That’s more of a percentage county wise per population. The average African American population countrywide is closer to 40%. Still though it was a draw on how we’re divided and how people fix on numbers.

I was a 911 operator back in early 2000 and a standoff with our police and a dad who was scalping his 5yo girl, n the media swarmed our town, n when we were having a benefit for her we contacted the news they said that's not "GOOD NEWS" n said we don't come out for that .. we houned them n they gave us a 5 sec scroll on the screen about her recovery . I had the same view concerning pregnancy due to rape; that it is a good argument for abort10n. Then I saw several speakers at a conference who were children of rape, and they expressed their gratitude towards their mothers who made the very difficult decision to keep them. I think very few women have the perspective needed to keep a child in spite of the horrible crime that it was created from, or the strength to follow through, but I commend them. What I thought was black or white turned out to be a gray area.

It is fact. As I've told you before, I spent most my life in prisons and the majority are of African decent and second is of Mexican decent and that's in California state prisons. In the federal prisons I can honestly say that 85% is black and in the feds that's nation wide. I watch n love and respect yall, I'm gonna speak real for the 1st time.. I had an abortion cause my heart was weak at birth and had 2 heart surgeries at 3yo. N got pregnant back in 90s and my heart Dr. Told me I would DIE if I carried him, so it killed me to do what I did but in 2006 I had my 1st child at 32yo n 10 months later I was lifelighted to hospital on my death bed because of the strain on my heart and the pregnancy caused an aneurysm I lived n my baby is now 15 n i often think back on which one I chose and it kills me.. but i prayed I made the right choice...
