Almost a year at 11+ months, the Last night I ever drank was the day after my Pap had Passed away. Took a toll on me but I ultimately remembered he was always a fighter as well, had to carry that on. Keep pushin bud. Proud of you.

PTSD is terrible. I’ve got it too but from childhood. You have to forgive everyone including yourself first. Truly forgive and bury yesterday. Literally. Then and only then, will you come out the other side. I wrote everything about my past and burned it and buried the ashes. Then God came in and cleared up the tears. I didn’t know if I believed but OH WOW! He exists. Read the Bible. All your answers are in there! God bless you!!

@@rathey7999 when I got saved, my life turned around. Wasn’t an addict or anything. A workplace accident and Worker’s Compensation messed up my life. When I got saved, it seemed the steps I needed to take to get back on track became abundantly clear. Bless you and yours 🙏

I struggle with depression too so I get where he’s coming from, and I used to be an alcoholic. Trauma works in ways we’d never know at least not without a therapist or something. The thing with me, I cry on the inside, not outside, when I do cry on the outside it’s at complete random I believe I have BPD, this is on par with scars, scars hit hard too because I believe it related to self harm aswell, which is a bigger issue than people might think. Though we may not always feel like it or feel worth it, we should definitely let the words he speaks sink in, I tell other people these same things that they’re worth it and a fighter even when I feel worthless and give up, but they feel worthless too and give up, but when they look at me, I’m worth it and not as weak as I feel, I guess looking at others with some relatable issues is like a mirror, you can know you’re worth it even when feeling worthless.

Definitely know where you're coming from. We lost our son in a accident Thanksgiving day. Will be 7 yrs now. He just turned 22 day before. Tom did an outstanding job on this one. The grief is really hard at times. But you definitely are a fighter and people like us got your back and know what it's like. God bless. Stay strong.
