When my mum passed last year I would sing this my friends always say “wow you don’t care your mother died that’s so sad” I do miss her I tried to push the tears out it just won’t budge

This used to be a song with a partner, but one day they just stopped talking to me. I don’t know why. I’ve not seen them since. This song now always makes me tear up. It’s not even because of the relationship. They were my really good friend, and they said they fell in love with me. So I played the part as I didn’t wanna break their heart. Then they stopped talking to me. I wasted time on them for them to just stop messaging me or talking to me in general. Just nothing since. Update. They’ve since came back into contact, maybe about a couple weeks to a month or so ago. I had a few convos and their reason for breaking contact for like a year after a few months of being In a relationship, and a friendship for about half a year before that too, was they thought I’d be better off without them. I have not contacted them for a few weeks and I feel bad but I then remember how terrible I felt after they left without a word. I honestly have no idea what to do.
