It translates to the custom racquet having 4g extra weight at around 3 and 9 in the hoop which explains the extra W, SW and Balance as compared to the off-the-shelf version. It should also feel more stable comparatively (higher TW). Still, quite shocking that even when you pay extra for a Custom order, Wilson still can't get it to spec !!

Roman Prokes, of RPNY, says paint can change the feel of the racket at impact. I personally prefer the gloss finish as well. Matte finish feels too muted while gloss is more crisp

Not gonna lie, I love orange also. My Vcore 97 2013 with Stan's paint job in orange and grey/black details looked great. I still have it but don't use anymore.

I just got mine after seven weeks as well. Black gloss body with silver gloss @3&9 and logos. I ordered with stock black grip (not garbage sublime) and was exactly 305 grams. $209 after $50 trade-in definitely worth it as all gloss has more feel than with the velvet paint.

when you order a custom racket, is the quality control better? i want to buy 2 wilson pro staffs, but i want them matched in spec because i know with quality control they may be different

Hey Tom, please help me choose my next racket! Currently hitting with Wilson Pro Staff 97LS grip 2. I’m 6.0 heavy hitter chunky guy. I made up the grip to size4 with tape and also thickened up the very end of the racket feels like almost the end of a baseball bat. I hit one handed back hand, and it’s always rather a hit than spin. When I serve, I hold the very end of the racket otherwise it doesn’t work. Also can’t make a softer serve with it because i feel I loose the swing motion. I strung 55lbs. Give me please at least a clue what is wrong Tom!! I would really appreciate your advise. Please if you can give me a list of rackets I should go for. I love your channel. Your content is worth gold! Thanks a lot

Orange and yellow favourite are meant to show you are artistic. They are my fave colours but not sure for a racket, probably have preferred lime green.

I’ve thought about buying my own custom blade it’s pricey but my issue is I want it almost the same as the retail but glossy and with a different color logo so I almost think it’s not worth it if I’m not going to change it that much, I’d be more convinced if I could see what it actually looked like in person rather than the digital demonstration

Do you have experience with prince racquets? And or gosen strings? Im looking at prince phantom pro 18x20 nice low price based on the review on TW nice low powered frame with tons of feel which i believe will fit my serve and volley style. Do u have any experience with that frame?

That looks like the Becker delta core legend...😁 but I recently got a custom RF97A in red gloss paint. I have to admit, the paint is stunning and a lot more resilient than the stock velvet rubberized paint which I don't really care for. Also, it was right on spec 12 oz unstrung.
