I’m taking a bong rip right now, sit my ass down in this chair for a little bit and listen to some of this action Tom’s always a fun interview. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything he tells exactly how it went down. He’s honest he’s truthful, and he wasn’t using near as many drugs as the people he was working for / with.

Great interview. I’m about 3/4 of the way thru his book, and he’s right, I read a lot more at each sitting than I normally do. A lot of the music Tom worked on came during a significant period in my life, and when I hear it today, it brings back a lot of good memories. Tom seems like a really good guy, and he has an interesting story to tell. Hope a lot of people read his book.

Vince Neil didn't go to prison. I believe he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and actually served 15 days or less. Paid a bunch of money and was court ordered to do a Public Service Announcement where he said "Don't drink & drive... take a limo home". That's it.

I think "Rodeo" is on the expanded "Girls, Girls, Girls" (an album released in 1987) but was actually demoed in 1988-89 for "Dr. Feelgood" (which was released late 1989). BTW, TOTALLY disagree. "You're All I Need" is much better than "Rodeo". It's one of Motley's best tunes, imho. Great job on this interview. You're asking legitimately interesting questions here, stuff long-time fans would like to hear Mr. Werman answer. This guy produced some of the best Hard Rock music of all time and has much to say if asked interesting, new questions. "Shout At The Devil" is one of the greatest sounding Hard Rock/Metal albums of all time, Tom will get into heaven (or hell!) just for that accomplishment alone. "Girls, Girls, Girls" is a really good album as well, the last "Sleazebags from L.A." -themed Crue album. There's weak tunes but the overall vibe is strong and functional-dysfunctional, it's a "deep" album and period for the band. Tom Werman produced "Home Sweet Home". Enough said.

Tom doesn't seem completely clear in his recollection of the Lord's prayer segment. The Lord's prayer, as far as I know for one, is on the Cheap Trick Heaven Tonight album on the song How Are You. After Robin sings, I think in the second verse, "you know you talk too much you even scare my friends", you hear the double speed chatter of the girl reciting the Lord's prayer which you can actually make out. However, the rumor was at the very end whoever was reciting the Lord's prayer actually says, And I could never confirm this, but reportedly says, "however, our father is NOT in heaven."Tom may have placed this same segment on another band's album and if I am recalling correctly, he did but I can't say where.

Yes, are used to listen to Too $hort , NWA ,2 live crew, etc… however, I begin with motley Crue, Def Leppard RatT Etc… I fell into the rap thing in seventh grade. Well, I was a kid it was new I was in seventh grade. However, two years later, I was right back to the rockers never looked back after that, except for the movie Boyz in the hood. Thought that movie is fantastic. I was in eighth grade at that point. I was just a little white boy trying to make ends meet…… I copied the ending here in Guns N’ Roses what is 1 million changed it from little white lboy to small town whiteboy
