As a newbie gardener (although not new in age) I’ve found this channel and have to say I absolutely love content, the recipes and growing videos… I feel inspired to grow more this year now….keep the videos coming, thank you 😊

Hello Steve, glad to see that my two favourites performed well 👍 In previous years I grew Supersweet 100 but I now prefer Sweet Million. Maybe next year I would like to see you trial the blight resistant varieties, like I did. Ferline was OK and Mountain Magic didn't quite beat Crimson, plus there are a few more additional Blight resistant varieties out now 👍. All the best mate 🌻 Nigel .......MuddyBootz Allotment 🌻

Cheers Nigel. Crimson Crush was a first for me (your fault LOL) very nice. To be fair, I don't really get much tomato blight - normally all picked by the time it's too late (Oh why did I say that?) Looking forward to seeing some raised beds in the near future 😎 Take care buddy 🍻

Ahhh I'm glad you ranted - that explains a lot! Interesting taste test - little Mrs Needysugaryums must try Sweet Million! LOL! I must also try Crimson Crush - maybe I could even grow it outdoors! Hmmm, with this windy site I guess I'd better grow one in the greenhouse too! Thank you muchly! As for the jam roly poly that had me drooling - I bought the suet and then HRH was diagnosed as in the warning zone for diabetes. Hmmph! Soooooo, mega dieting aka healthy eating - lots of lentils (yuk) he lost a load of weight, I lost some (not giving up my spuds) so that's good. And now I think it is time for a rolypoly! With home made custard thanks to the bantams! Cheers! xxx

I thought it was a glitch in the system. I was using email notifications too. I love homegrown tomatoes, the whole tomato. No cutting out my seeds. That’s the juiciest part. If I make a recipe that calls for only the flesh, I set the seed pockets aside and eat them myself with a little salt and pepper. 😁

Good one Steve! Thought when cutting to show flesh to seed ratio you should cut longitudinaly, as it is too easy to slice through an interior pulp wall...

Very glad that wasp moved on! We had a friend require medical assistance because he was stung inside his mouth. Not fun! Always enjoy the tasting videos. We are keeping close track of the varieties that we planted this year. A couple will not be on the grow list next year. The flavor is not worth it. For us it is a balance between productivity, flavor, and disease resistance. Thanks for the great video! Have a great weekend!

Cheers Irene! As a child I was strung 22 times on one leg and 10 on the other when a friend threw a firework at me - little did I know I was stood over a wasp's nest. I'm not surprised the show tomatoes didn't perform as well as the regular ones, "The proof of the pudding" as it were. The Crimson Crush are one that's been on my list for a little while now, I think I will be growing a few of those next year, especially after my encounter with blight this year. I hadn't heard YT email notifications were going away, as it is I am still getting some coming in. YT's way of notifying is terrible at best, it always wants to steer you in a direction that suits them and not you. C'est la vie I guess. Anyway, cheers for a great tomato test Steve 👍🍅🍺🍅🍺🍅🍺🍅🍺🍅🍺🍅🍺🍅🍺

Hi Steve, A great video on taste testing tomatoes, KZfaq notifications have been crap for some time now, I don't know about you but I don't get notifications on past videos I have to keep checking back to see if there are any that I have not been notified about so as not to make subscribers think I'm not interested and I only get notified once I go on KZfaq, It's a mess. Hi guys, best thing with Crimson Crush is that even if it looks like it is getting blight, the fruit stays perfect. My first year growing it so no real experience with it but being an F1 it will not breed true from saved seeds. The size looks t be pretty uniform on all the trusses. Have a great weekend guys! 🍻
