Hi Everyone!!! In todays video we test out the rumor that putting your tomatoes in the fridge will make them taste different. Also tasting 10 more lovely open pollinated tomato varieties to help you decide what you might like to grow next year. I hope you enjoy.

That Ponderosa was probably suffering from puffiness, a condition defined by empty space around the locules. It can be due to very low overnight temperatures, but can be from other causes like heavy rain.

Interesting. I do believe you have just given me another fun tomato fact for another taste test. Thank you for the information. I always wondered why some tomatoes from the same plant would have more spacious ranch pockets. 😁

So glad you’re in enjoying all of them. I really wanted to do my best to try them on camera for everyone and I feel quite proud of what Ben and I were able to accomplish. They were a lot of fun for us to do together to. I’m already anticipating next year. 😁

🤣🤣 Big Ben always has some interesting issues with the tomatoes. There’s always at least one he can’t seem to pick up.

Well I just added Red Ponderosa to my wishlist so maybe I’ll grow the two next year and try both side by side to find out. I love doing things like that. 😊

The Musketeers should be the GWR variety, with green and rose stripes on the outside, and green with a rose center on the inside. The one you have is, what I believe, a split of the variety.

This one is spelled Mushketeers. It might be a variation. I’m not sure.

The white antho is called Maerchen-engel. Maerchen means story and engel means angel

Well Ben and I are recording our top Ten varieties this weekend and I know there are Kozulas on both our lists. As far as my favorite that’s gonna take a pro con list for me but I will definitely know by the time I record this weekend.

Maybe a weird question does the fuzzy tomato plants have as much bug/ disease?

As far as bugs I’d say they do better but as far as disease they still seem to succumb to diseases around the same rate I would say. I do feel like they took longer to get going though.

FUZZY Tomato, must be FUNNY, because if you turn the 2 ZZ sideways, they become NN and make it FUNNY

I can all my tomatoes just the same. Makes everything I use them with very flavorful. So yes I do think they would.
