The lighting in the remaster looks closer to reality, but it does make some scenes look very dark and much worse, such as the subway scene. There are also no reflexes from water and fire. In the original, there is a bluish glow near the pool, and the light from the fire blinks, which is not in the remaster. These little things used to make the game more realistic than it is now.

Original looks atrocious. Remaster makes it slightly tolerable. Only very rarely is it inverse quality. Humans looked terrifying, being all blocky and yellow skinned.

They did a great job, but I think they could correct the head movements and also Lara's hair (they look like chocolate balls haha)

I don't get some people's reactions to the remastered games. They complain that some secrets are hard to see in the improved lighting, yet they dislike the exclamation mark (now a hand icon) when Lara gets close to a secret. Also, they complain about the modern controls, when they can still use the old tank controls or, as I do, keyboard controls.

Still think that the original is way better, but for today's gamers it's a must , otherwise they would have trouble locating the ledges because it can be overlooked easily . The original will always have that special vibe .

I don’t know, why they didn’t remove the shaking heads in the cut scenes. It’s unnecessary, because they’re lips are moving, a makes no sense. It must be, like Lara.

The remaster is what we were supposed to get in the late 90s. If they got rid of the bobbing heads, which is part of old video games, it would be perfect. Lara's head doesn't which is good.

Looks way better than the og but if you compare it to the tomb raider anniversary remake of tomb raider 1 its kinda disappointing but atleast we get 3 games, additional content all for 30 dollars you wont ever regret getting if you a true fan

They’re all identical, only difference is 720p on switch undocked, 1080p on switch when docked, 1440p on Series S and 2160p on PS5 & Series X.

I like it, proper nostalgia trip. I loved the PS1 games. Great how you can swap between graphics with the touch of a button. Camera is annoying sometimes though. They made the game modern but true to the originals at the same time.
