After three months of excavations and dozens of sarcophagi found, more surprises lie in store for Zahi Hawass. Having given up hope, he at last finds a stone sarcophagus that apparently belongs to a vizier who lived during the New Kingdom. But inside, a surprise awaits him. A few days later, a mysterious queen, discovered a decade earlier, will revive investigations. And what if these latest excavations called into question the most famous of Egyptologists' convictions?

So amazing all the discoveries Zahi Hawass is making now that he is no longer employed by the government! Such wonderful luck he has now that he can profit from it all!

My thoughts exactly. Idk why he wasn't put in jail by our government for the rest of his life. This man is going to sell out our heritage to scammers and cheats with money and power. So much of history that is potentially at risk because of this piece of shit.

As all the tombs with the exception of Tutankamun, imhoteps, tomb would have been robbed in antiquity. I see a lot of comments negative to Dr. Hawas, he was a key player in bringing the world so much information and is no more of a tomb robber than every person carrying out excavations. I have visited many pyramids along with sites in luxor, the valley of the kings and queens, karnak ect. At every site 90% of tourists pick up bits of the monuments to take home. Every explorer has brought more understanding and many wonders to people who would not be able to see them for themselves. I applaud them all

The entrance was narrow. I was the first to go in. I saw the mummy with a lapis and gold scarab on its forehead. I slid back out and said amazing! He has a stick! As my partner went in. I put the scarab in my pocket. Another amazing find. The stick must be important.

Imagine they was having a amazing time in the afterlife with all them things but soon as we opened it up took all the stuff now they all broke in the afterlife and miserable tbh it's sad how we cant just leave anything alone respect anything that was their way their beliefs so we should leave them alone maybe build something around it and add glass or something else let tourists visit and see but not just tear everything apart

Its horrible grave robbers dont even realize how important mummies are to history
@josi4251
@josi4251 20 күн бұрын
A large percentage of the robberies happened in ancient times. They witnessed burials and went in very soon after mummies were buried. The primary goal was finding grave goods. Mummies were generally only taken if there wasn't sufficient time to dig around on the body to get all the valuables from it. However, Victorian/Georgian-era people did remove mummies for weird purposes, but it's questionable whether they were royalty or just conveniently found ones.

The vast majority of tombs were robbed in ancient times by those who knew where the tombs were! They ripped the mummies open to find any treasure. Thankfully mummies found now are preserved, no invasion of the body carried out.

Not sure if this was originally a TV production, but why do productions need to have nonstop music throughout? So irritating.... And I'm a musician! It's like somebody thinks it's a good idea to try to make it more exciting. If the material is not exciting, the music will not help. In this case, just detracts from the experience. I'm bailing.

If you’re referring to those who took part in the programme, they will tell you if you ask them, Egyptology, is constantly changing with every discovery something new is learned about the ancients, and therefore no one knows everything. Those who took part would also tell you they were invited by the producers for their input.

Imhotep was moved by Moses to the land of the Canaanites because Imhotep is the Egyptian name for Joseph. They won't find his body in Egypt. His tomb was found long ago and it was empty.

I knew it, somebody had to say something totally wrong! Imhotep and Joseph were NOT the same person! Try doing some actual research before you spew your...fairy tales. Imhotep's father's name was Ka-Neferu and his mother's name was Khredu-Ankh, for starters. His wife's name was Runpe-Neferu, not Asenath,or whatever...sheesh!

@deedeskin2439 You are right. I don’t know why this claim pops up from time to time but Imhotep worshipped Ptah. Joseph, not so much. Even the idiot Ben Carson thinks Joseph built the pyramids. Then again, people will believe anything in spite of the evidence.
@lilgnomey
@lilgnomey 20 күн бұрын
@@deedeskin2439 I don’t think that’s exactly what they said. They said the name Imhotep is the Egyptian name for Joseph. Having said that, I agree with you that the insinuation that Imhotep and Joseph are the same person is highly unlikely.
