I've never heard of this podcast but saw that Tomi was gonna be on it (I'm a big fan of hers and keep up with her stories). Thank you for being kind and respectful towards her because too many people are nasty. Look at her IG comments. People are ruthless. Loved the interview!!!!! Hope you have her back again.

I enjoyed this podcast just because of the hosts. They are doing a great job interviewing different people. They are always nice, curious, nonjudgmental and genuine. The guest on the other hand did not impress me. Being from rural America or working for Fox News doesn’t make you a conservative.

I really enjoyed this interview. I did have to comment that she was clearly annihilated in the Trevor Noah interview. Like drop the mic slam dunk. I’m interested to see what her viewpoint & communication style is now, if it’s matured because if it has, I will listen if just to educate myself.

for “why does anyone care ab ur beliefs that aren’t hurting others” if it is politics, it is directly helpful or harmful to others. the people who act more hurt are the ones who are actually effected by the policies - ie, minorities, queer people, etc. not pretty rich white women like tomi. kind of like if i stole ur purse from u and u started yelling at me and i was calm like “why are u yelling? we can be calm” - u were yelling bc i was the aggressor, regardless of how calmly i initiated it most women wouldn’t be calm if men were like “i just think u guys shouldn’t get to vote because you wouldn’t use your votes as wisely as we do” much like no immigrant would be calm being told “you don’t deserve to come to the USA for new opportunities, even though centuries ago we colonized it for our own new opportunities”.

@@nothanksmegan also adding onto my other thoughts, i think many women by that age have experienced assault (i believe it’s 1 in 4? for women) who don’t get justice so i could see how they/their friends who helped them thru it would also have a soft spot for others who aren’t receiving justice. a lot of women i’ve met have been a bit radicalized by seeing how dismissively assault or even sexism is treated in society (even if men are exposed they never *actually* lose their careers, the women are blamed for their own suffering etc) and it makes them start to see all the other instances of injustice and that could also trigger a deeper reaction having felt it themselves
