I rarely see the point of expensive scale RC's and trail trucks, when you can have so much fun with the cheaper alternatives. The level of realism in this one makes the price justifiable IMO. I could see a talented scale modeller going to town on one of these, correcting mold marks, adding further details, and pushing the whole thing to another level.

yeah same, I'd be way too careful with an expensive truck, I'd rather have a cheaper truck and upgrade it a little, to get similar performance for a fraction of the price

I have three 1/12 scale figures for my Jimny, two 1000TOA synthetic humans and one DamToys crash dummy. They all fit in nicely without any amputation.

I was going to wish you a speedy recovery but looking at the pin it was postponed! Better tires and PLEASE take this thing off road on some harsh rocks etc. I need to see this thing in action! Love the Jimny, just bought the RGT Rock Cruiser V3 version of it. Saw an add for this one today and probably have to buy some flower for the girlfriend to try and convince her I need this one as well.... Besides that, great video 🤣

I have the 1:1 scale version of this in grey, do you know if they are going to come out in different colours? When I first saw this version I was really impressed, there are a few others out there, but this is exceptional! Hope your recovering well!

great review! I admire the level of detail of this brand! But there is something that worries me a lot, is it the quality of the stock electronics, esc, battery, servo, were these 3 components designed to last long periods of use? Can Fms live up to axial, gmade, kyosho or traxxas in terms of electronic quality? greetings

I watched a video on these and it included the samurai. They didn’t fall over too much at all, a shame that they were stopped being built. I can’t remember the video but it turns out they stopped production due to “failing” the moose test. They didn’t fail and it was because of a grudge between higher power business people. Don’t quote me on anything, this is all off of memory.

Tomley, need to be a little more objective. 180 motor is good enough just for the 1/18 scale light trails, 1/12 Jimney has a bigger potential and could have come with at least 360 motor. There is no 12mm hex in the wheel if we are talking about true “hobby grade RC”. The “8” shape wheels needs to be gone and not sure what wheels i can use and upgrade it to without proper 12mm hex. Good scale for the price, good for asphalt runs and definitely needs to be modified to be morecomfortable on the trails.

Easy to put a 12mm hex on as it has a standard hub with pin. As for the 180 motor... we need to not judge its performance until we've given a test. If it's anything like the Willys Jeep (which has the same drivetrain) then it will be fine for it. As for being more objective, I always try to give my opinion on whats good and what's bad, regardless of if the product is free or bought... expensive or cheap.

They look really good. I have kyosho jimny and i wanted to custom it unfortunately they are very hard to find the correct scale parts and it's already collecting dust. So i have question on this one. Can this go hi lift, aggressive tyres or oversize, roof rack, metal bumper, you name it. If yes then i will buy right away and do custom build. I'm more of a realistic scale rc build. Thanks and stay safe out there. Ps: if you gonna do custom build that jimny PLEASE DO! It would be very interesting, not just for me for your audience who love Jimny!
