Yes, it is expensive, and if it didn't have a Licensed Ford / Hoonitruck body, I would be telling you it's not worth the money. But for a Fan like me... Ken Block, here's my Money! It looks great but $389 for a brushed almost 1:10 that don’t even has turnbuckles and requires special batteries? You can get a true 1:10 car like a Traxxas 4tec or a HPI RS4 brushless cheaper than this 😱😤. No way I am going to buy this, it’s just way to expensive.

I'm a cheap man but every once in a while I will pay more than I'm comfortable for something I want or need. Money will always come and go but happiness is priceless. Gotta spoil yourself from time to time.

The reason it came stock with thin oil is because the company was probably expecting people to run the drift tyres, and drift cars have super thin suspension oil to make them more planted on track. I tried using thicker oil in my YD2 and it was just a mess, lol

G10 is practically what is used for making electronic boards, its not green but its the same, it can also be use as a build plate for 3D printing

I've had many 1/4 scale helicopters who's frame was G-10. It's easily milled, and pretty sturdy, and low weight.

470 euro for a Brushed 1/12 scale with a warped wing and crappie shocks, for that kind of money should not have any of those problems plus ir should have clear windows and an interior and should fit a normal size battery If it is for the hoonigan sticker just get the hpi mustang

Great video as always. Really pleased for you being able to buy the things that you want, you work hard for it. I wished I could afford a felony or a ex07 , but unfortunately I am registered disabled and rely on benefits so I will just have to make do with my sg1604. 😊

I love my team associated rat rod truck that's brushless, gyro, LEDs installed with the same controller but two wheel drive. I bought it last year for $349 and thought it was a bit expensive. Thanks man!

Those trucks look epic. I'd say from what I've seen the only let Downs is the plastic shocks and the ESC motor combo for me. It should have been brushless everything else they offer is brushless. But I guess it's a good excuse to play with other motor and esc combos LOL

In all honesty i am feeling a little underwhelmed...... For the price i expected nicer wheels, shock oil in the shocks, brushless and something more even if that was just a branded keychain to hang from your transmitter.... The shell is nice and detailed, i like the break rotor details, it will be interesting to see what the other gearset does.

Thats awesme! The people geting upset about brushed...need to realize that a good brushed motor is better for drifting then a brushless motor in alot of cases!

$300 licensing, $140 truck. AND with that licensing they didn't even get the big names like Monster lol... Hoonigan showcased the truck on their channel but when you listen to the video of it running they clearly swapped out the stock electronics for a brushless system...

As for your comment about the coffee: that's true in a LOT of cases. I use a zippo lighter and the package for the flints easily outweighs the actual cost of the 5 flints. BUT, Included in the price of the coffee is: rent on the place you bought it. Wages of the people who made it. Insurance, utilities, taxes, fees, licences, upkeep..... A lot of things are WAY overpriced which people gladly pay for. Don't get me started on bottled water. Here? People pay over $2.00 CDN for one and the actual cost of the bottle and water is close to 5 cents. I bought a case when I went camping 3 years ago, saved the bottles and refill them. The beauty about them for going camping, you freeze all 24 and it keeps your food cold in the cooler and as they melt, you have fresh cold water to drink.

Your explanation of paying the premium on the hoonigan branding juxtaposed to Jordan branding is spot on. Which is why this truck is probably not really going to sell in droves - the rc community go for features (what they are paying for), which is why the likes of wltoys, zd racing, feiyue, fs racing, vrx racing (ftx) et. al have decent sales.

If you wanna talk about expensive, about 2 yrs ago, a local cafe near the River Exe waterfront charged me 70p more for a soya latte! Of course they have seats out side looking over the little harbour and it's all very nice. But I've bought my coffees elsewhere for the last 2 years.

Made a mistake. Walked into hobby shop on the way to work. Horizon Arrma sale, LIMITLESS..... One of the employees had a WL buggy he was running around in the parking lot. Really impressive how smooth that little car is.

Great vid. Man, I've waited years for an official RC Hoonitruck but I really hoped for something less toy like, bigger and brushless. So disappointed. The official WR8 cars were expensive but way better than this.

great video.. that dampening change really helped this loads i noticed.. i use to partly race just in my garden. had a Tamiya Porsche the rare martini one, neighbours who tweaked theirs modded mine, ended up getting a Schumacher cat2000 in parts, then a team associated b4.2 off road. boxed but took it out once indoors, a losi small one i forget the name for it. raced it a bit, was fun.. of all off road cars id seen and wanted to get, or even try oneday, was Tenth Technology xk10. the suspension system on it was something. strange why they chose that, until seeing how it handled.

I've just seen the price!!!!!😱 OUCH,,, that's more expensive than the Arrma 3s range "including the mighty Typhon 1/8" and for it to come brushed, the wrong shock oil, and only holds a shorty pack,,,, I'm very disappointed with it. Great video as alway's Phil 👊

All you need to do is put a small cable tie on those clips then trim it off so you’ve got a little handle to pull them out. Suspension is pony for the money innit. Nice work upgrading it a huge improvement. It looks great though.

I use use small key chain like rings for body pins. Makes it easy peasy to pull pins out.

I've seen the brake callipers break off very easy. Speed wise it's more of a short range Hooner mind so not a problem for me.

Arrma tough baby! Felony 6S with 22 tooth pinion and 120C 6S battery on Hoon golds burns all four tires on demand and goes 80mph. 800 dollars!

I went to buy either the Fireteam or the Mojave or the new on-road one and fell over this and without looking at the price pre-orders were being taken I thought it looked epic, so I now for the first time in my life a brushed 1/10th vehicle, it arrived before the projected date had to wait for a 7.4volt 2S battery as I had none not sure what size battery, motor and ESC I have a very good steering servo. I have bent the R clips. It is bouncy, slow, sluggish steering so hoping that you point me in the right direction for more power and better handling I will have to invest in a 3S FOR MORE FUN.

Yes, it’s certainly not the best out the box for the money. Hopefully a brushless set up will get it moving a bit! Shocks are good with a little thicker oil

Honestly I think the suspension.. is like that because of the set up of that KIND of suspension set up. It's not setup like a truck... But also not like a car... But they did have fluid in them... So we're wrong about that.

I believe G10 is a sort of fiberglass laminate used mostly for (pocket) knife handles.

G 10 is layered kinda like carbon fiber also very high chemical and water resistance.40k psi tensile strength on the cross section.great video

Easy diy pinless body mounts with nutserts and a bolt. It looks fantastic but brushed? Should be brushless for the price in my honest opinion. Looks similar to my mavrick quantum flux R brushless rc on road truck in gunmetal grey. Those shocks are very soft. Great video review once again - me in Australia

You can bend the body clips yourself with pliers, in case you didn't know... but the loop end in the pliers, hold nice and tight, push the opposite end to the ground. Wallah. And yeah, a little pricey.

Ill admit buddy I'm trying to keep away from high price chassis like this as like you had mentioned yourself alot of them just sell due to the brand and there is many options out there for cheaper budget that can likely still do the same ❤ Soon to be making a start on my 1/24th rwd drifter buddy ill let you know how it goes 👍

It looks great and it's expensive because it is licenced but it costs more than an MT10 and doesn't even come with LED's which cost next to nothing. Even the cheap Chinese knock offs come with LED's. Infact they come with most of what is on that one except the licence and to be fair look just as good. It seems to run quite nice and I think brushless it might be a bit uncontrollable. Not all cars are about speed either..

I don’t like the price, but I love Rc’s with absolute controllable and linear power bands! Thank goodness for magnets 🧲 or maybe even leprechauns 🍀 for saving that precious Insta360! 👍🏻😝😎☕️

G10 fiberglass is a plastic compound (Nylon probably) with 10% glass fiber content.

I started with an k989 from wltoys. Then I got an sg 1603. I feel my drifting obsession will end up going the same way my crawler obsession is going.. I likely can't stop wanting to buy more. Lol.

Exactly. Dang near everything now is RTR which is fairly annoying. Get a few RC vehicles and you end up with a closet full of remotes too lol. I guess the days of enjoying the build have moved on for the most part, as the newer generation is more for instant gratification.

Bend those body pins up yourself with a couple pairs of needle nose pliers, I also use a zip tie to make a little handle.
