For me, this song has always felt like an anthem for the Swedish wilderness. Love it!

This is one of my favorite childhood song from the movie called “Ronja Rövardotter” written by Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstockings) you might even enjoy watching the movie just for the rustic voices and the way they portrayed these songs. ❤

Great reaction!🤘 This song is childhood memories for me🤗 It's actually the intro to a movie based upon the Astrid Lindgren story about Ronja. (Lindgren is also the writer of Pippi Longstocking).

The book about Ronja Rövardotter was written by Astrid Lindgren in 1981 and filmed in 1984. The new film adaptation was released in 2024 on Netflix and the book is released in 37 languages. Read it to your children. It is about a ten year old girl who was born on a stormy night in a mountain fort, surrounded by her parents and a loving band of robbers. Ronja grows into a strong and active girl, and discovers that the forest is both a beautiful and terrifying place inhabited by strange creatures. She befriends the son of her father's rival and so begins the drama of her friendship and family loyalty.

it's 100% a midsummer trilogy, All Astrid Lindgren/Georg Ridl songs that we all grew up with in sweden :) and ye, no words in any of it :)

The songs by Georg Riedel (in Astrid Lindgren’s movies) all have lyrics, don’t they? The music in Ronja Rövardotter is written by Björn Isfält 🙂👍

For me, these songs are primarily memories of my youth. This is Astrid Lindgren and her wonderful stories. And films based on her stories. Well, Tommy created great covers that you want to listen to and listen to. (and this song is the only one that I can sing “in Swedish” without worrying about pronouncing the words incorrectly). Thanks for the review. I completely agree with everything you said. This is a great cover and Tommy, as always, did a masterpiece.

You should really listen to the original too. :) This is the intro to Ronja Rövardotter, a children’s book and movie by the great(and late) Astrid Lindgren. The second part where they ride into the castle is the part that Tommy does. :) The main singer in the original is another great Swedish singer and another Tommy. Tommy Körberg. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/msd1erSB2K3LgHk.htmlsi=qK5dBfLGgFsItOvl

Tommy is great and he has a beautiful voice. But in all honesty, this trilogy is not one I will listen to again and again like I do with so many of his other songs.
