Many of you may know that back in July we did a video on Tommy Rivers. You can view his account here:

In the summer of 2020 doctors found tumors in his lungs. Now, he's fighting for his life while the medical bills pile up. Watching a fellow runner - who is an absolute running MACHINE deteriorate as fast as he has made Rush and I decide to do something about it. We cover that in our video. I was a runner for over 40 years , ( running helped me through divorce, PTSD, and losing my husband to brain cancer )my OA in both knees stopped my love for this sport ~ I dream about running in heaven 🙏🏻 my prayers are with this wonderful runner 🏃‍♂️and his family ~

My running career was cut short by getting run over by a truck. What struck me was your statement about running in Heaven. I ran my whole life, it was ingrained in my mind. Now I dream about running all the time in my dreams. I'm probably not in Heaven, just pretty close to it, Runners Heaven!! God Bless Runner.

Loving your videos and I really hope that you manage to help lots of people. Being from the UK I’m thankful that we don’t have medical bills and I really can’t imagine the stress of being ill and worrying about covering the cost!

We hope so too... Right now it's just a hope that we can grow large enough to make an impact for people in need in the future. There's a lot to do between now and then. It's daunting!

Thankfully he's in remission. For now. They think there's a high chance that the cancer will come back, so the latest news is that he's building up his strength for another round against the cancer if and when it returns.

Agreed. It's gutting to think about the fact that for every story like this you hear, there are 100s of others that are going through the same thing - just not in the public spotlight. We all just have to be grateful for the time we have...

Thank you, Sharon. Our hope is that with time we'll be able to do more helping, and feel less helpless when we hear about situations like this. We're praying for him and his family.

Lance was super fit too and got cancer and it was before he started doping. Who knows?!

Excess protein? How does a guy so fit get cancer? Happy to see he’s doing well now.

Way off the mark. If you see his father's ig he talks about his own father having died from cancer as well as his mother having had leukemia and lymphoma which is the one Rivs had. So with both paternal grandparents having had cancer it's purely genes and nothing to do with your theory! Luckily he was so fit to thankfully go into remission which I have no doubt any lesser fit person it would have been dire

@@edieapril9548 don’t want to get into all that. But purely genes is really unlikely. Would have to examine all patients lifestyles and in particular eating habits. Excess animal protein which is very common nowadays is often the unknown cause.

@@DoctorRevers why do you not want to get into all that when it's the most obvious scenario in this case? Why do you think people like Angelina Jolie had her ovaries and breasts removed as a preventative measure? Can't deny the science that genes put you at an exponentially higher chance of getting cancer if it runs in the family. Both his grandparents died of cancer, with his grandma having one just like he has. Your too much protein theory is the unlikely one here.

@@edieapril9548 wow. I’d say NEVER have your breasts or any body part removed as a preventative measure. Yikes. It has been proven that excess animal protein grows cancer cells. Very unlikely to be genetic. That is not proven at all. The problem when people say something is genetic because parents and grandparents had the same issue is that they almost always live similar LIFESTYLES because they grew up and lived together.

@@DoctorRevers it's pointless having this conversation. I don't know where you get your science! I could tell you the sky is blue and you would say no it isn't! Even if you didn't study cancer as a speciality this would be common knowledge or a quick google search can bring you a vast amount of peer verified studies that prove this to be a fact. Yes lifestyle matters but to deny the influence of genes is willful ignorance.

Not sure, other than he has posted recently on social media of him chilling with Iron Cowboy and maybe even ran a few miles with him. So it sounds like he is recovering but doing well at the moment. Again, that’s just a guess from what I’ve seen

I think everyone is wondering that... if you follow him on Instagram they're posting "Not today" every day on his stories. It's a reference to a line from "Game of Thrones" saying, "What do we say to death? Not Today". So I imagine things are pretty serious that his family is updating that to his account. From what we know right now he's been struggling a lot. But we know very little unfortunately.
