I like looking back at the dream smp war animation because at the end there’s just one frame of schlatt at the end which now looks like some awesome foreshadowing

the great thing is, back then we didn't even know if Schlatt was ever gonna be back on the SMP and that frame was a metaphor, but if someone new to the community watches that animatic they'd probably think it was some god-level foreshadowing

@@delfyxie probably because Jschlatt being banned by Dream even thought the rest of the players liked him was kind of like a way of saying "I have the power in this smp" which is the reason why L'manburg was made, cause of liberty and "separation" from the dreamSMP, or at least that's how I understood it

@@delfyxie Originally Schlatt is meant to be shown as Tommy’s role model and inspiration. The original day Schlatt showed up on the server was because Wilbur knew Tommy looked up to Schlatt and how Tommy became a KZfaqr he is today. You can tell that Tommy originally copied Schlatt’s suit and most of his bits. Tommy also mentioned on multiple occasions that he was inspired by Schlatt. Thus Wilbur had Schlatt come on the server, BECAUSE of Tommy. This was the reason why Tommy was so upset when Schlatt originally got banned from the server. This led to Tommy repeatedly asking Dream to whitelist Schlatt again soon afterwards up until the election. However, due to recent events, it makes it seem like Sadist put that there as foreshadowing when it actually meant something else entirely at the time.

I actually think the next line really brings it together: "The only universal language is violence, and we've had that conversation." I just love the wording of it. I love the metaphor of him comparing fighting and violence to a universal conversation.

@@randompotato8105 it's not actually a hype thing, it's more like nostalgia if you get my drill, as I kid I always saw a trailer for a Disney animation and it was soo well made I was in awe, Disney was the only one who made such good animated movies like Lilo and Stitch, the Goofy movie etc.

I think Tommy was just trying to be nice when he said Dream's voice was American and that's why it didn't fit everything else instead of his tone but dream sounding resigned there fits the narrative really well Also sad-ist supremacy

Tbh.... this is one of the best interpretations of the dream SMP wars. With the song being so powerful, and making a block game turn into a literal movie. Its honestly astounding how amazing sad-ist’s art is. I love it sooo much and I think that sad-ist should 110% continue doing what she’s doing!!!

1:35 I don't think enough people comment on this part, it's so funny and subverts the tone of the entire animation, and while all of it is gorgeous I wanna appreciate how this line is able to make my laugh everytime despite it not necessarily being the funniest thing ever said, purely through context and tone manipulation Sadist is an incredible animator, but as a video editor and storyteller she's INCREDIBLE!

@ImNotBoss 1 Definitely! I've watched this whole thing at least a dozen times, and it's incredible every time. The art, the small bits of animation littered perfectly, the character designs, and like I said above the video editing and story telling are where Sadist shines through. She's truly a jack of all trades when it comes to impressive and high quality videos. I mean God damn Technoblade talking down to Tommy in the pit, or Wilbur tearing up at L'manberg, every watch through those two moments hit HARD.

I cannot stress enough the GENIUS of SAD-ists character designs. They somehow fit the character, look like their Minecraft skins, and take in parts of their irl appearance all at the same time. How the HELL does someone do all that and STILL make them look so good? INCREDIBLE.
