Hard to believe. Japan seems to have a little crisis in TT outside of Harimoto ( and he also is a little behind his best level). Imo some years ago Japanese players were stronger. Also why do Japanese players nowadays have to scream like they are pregnant. It's so annoying. Were is the quiet dignity? Have to mute this

@@listrahtesyou’re probably not a ping pong player. It’s quite common to cho after every point, and the young Chinese players are trained by their coach to cho loud in matches, because it brings out their best capacity & helps them focus. No professional athlete would find this annoying.

at 22:44 when Harimoto won the last point, the first word coming out of his mouth is very likely to be "我草“ meaning "oh f**k" in Chinese. we really say it a lot when winning or losing a nice rally.

Harimoto is well rounded. Togami has a clear edge in the spin game but his weakness is also clear - he struggled with returning short service to his FH side.

If you’re talking about Harimoto, I’m not sure that’s the best way to define him. For sure he has an offensive playing style, but he always rather prevails with active blocking and consistency (especially with his backhand) than powerful topspins. And that’s why the styles opposition in this match between those 2 offensive players is so nice to watch.
