Jim had such a beautiful voice. Just listening to him talk is a pleasure. Jim is my favorite singer since I first heard him back in the 60's.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Jim Reeves Museum in 1993. Not only did I get to meet the incredible Mary Reeves, but found Wilma Burgess behind the cash register in the gift shop. Wilma had a nice country recording career herself.

I just found out that this had been my 3rd great grandparent’s plantation. I was excited to find out it had become a museum only to find out it was torn down. What a gut punch!

My wife and I had the unique opportunity to visit Jim Reeves Museum twice. On our last visit (1983), Mary Reeves was there and I had the privilege to talk to Mary personally. Jim Reeves; a very unique gentleman with a voice like no one else. RIP Jim.

It makes me absolutely sick to see those pictures of Jims house... and even more sick to know someone let a HomeDepot or Lowes build on top of it. One of the greatest artists of our time and this is how they treat the area.

I wonder whether Jim Reeves fans knows that Jim made a whole record in Afrikaans, I personally have it, and it is actually really beautiful, in typical Jim Reeves style

I live not far from where the museum was, pretty sad they tore it down, now sits a Home Depot on the property. Nashville is pretty out if control these days they almost gutted all of music row for hotels...Jim Reeves place was beautiful passed by it everyday when I worked Opryland.

So sad to see his museum in such a state of disrepair! I wonder what happened that a place so carefully perserved to end up like this?
