I am 80 and so glad i found this interview, thank you so much, always loved Ricky. My son went to heaven 18 years ago i wonder if he can see Ricky. RIP my angels.

When I was a young girl I didn’t realize I was watching reruns & Thought we were about the same age & how fun it would be to have them as brothers! Little did I know they were both old enough to be my dad! 😮😂 I have missed their presence here. ♥️💋💋

My friend who was about twenty years older than me and I was twenty at the time but she begged me to go to Hear Ricky Nelson in concert. I said who is that? Ricky is just barely before my time but I had no idea who he was and didn’t really want to go but I went. He was forty and looked exactly like he looks here. I said no way your forty and I can still see his adorable smile. He smiled shy and said I promise I’m forty. How old are you he said? I said twenty one and he said well then there’s no reason you can’t have dinner with me and bring your friend too. Of course I melted like every other female and we had a very nice platonic time, well we had a goodnight kiss I think but it wasn’t romance. Ricky was one of the sweetest mannered men Ive ever met and I think his death sums up who Ricky Nelson was….They pulled him off his girlfriend who he was attempting to shelter from the fire but of course they died of smoke inhalation. Ricky Nelson also was not freebasing cocaine! I knew when I heard that it was a pack of lies! It’s not who he was.

I wish they were alive I would love to have talked to them. Watching Ozzie and Harriet right now is matter of fact and let's me know how my mom grew up and what she saw. Plus, I love mid century furniture and seeing originals is so neat.

Gosh Ricky and the 80's singer Rick Springfield look so much alike! Both extremely handsome too. Ricky still looked so handsome for not being a teenage idol any more. Damn the man was gorgeous! He was not a show off either. RIP darling. David is not bad looking either.

I truly believe that Ricky was in touch with the spiritual side of himself more than just a regular Joe. He always would say that he didn’t see himself getting older-he wrote (my #1 favorite song by him) The Last Time Around which is based on his belief in reincarnation and the words the psychic in NYC told him about him having lived many different lives but this was his last one. Harriett said that the months leading up to his death that it was like he was “doing everything for the last time” etc etc. Tracy saw a man in the house and he nonchalantly said, “Oh that’s just Errol” 😳 A friend of mine said it was horrible for the psychic to tell him that, however I told her reincarnation is true then it’s not sad- it just means he achieved what he was supposed to. If you don’t come back then you succeeded and finally got it right. Ricky was not a perfect man because no one is but he was a sweet soul. That sweetness came through in the songs he wrote. So people in reference to him say he was a “sweetheart of a man” “a kind man” “didn’t have an ego-when let’s face it he easily could have” etc..but I digress..I could totally see him being a guide or an angel or an elder. Some kind of spirit that helps others as they transition into the world and transition out of it. I love you Eric! 😭🕊️💜

She's asking them questions as though they grew up in a working class home, they were wealthy had Thier own bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms in a very large house. Parents had no concerns about big gas or electric bills. So that's why they feel a bit awkward talking about it, they know that other kids didn't get to live like this

It is a shame this interview was not conducted by Tom Snyder, the regular host of "Tomorrow," who returned to late night television in 1992, when David Letterman hired him to follow his own program, as host of CBS' "The Late Late Show" (now hosted by Craig Ferguson). Letterman had, apparently, felt bad when his NBC late night show replaced Snyder's "Tomorrow" program in 1982, so gave Snyder his old job back (albeit on another network) when Letterman had the power to do so.

Then again, news people (including Snyder), like politicians, are notoriously square, aren't necessarily as adept at interviewing musicians, especially punk rock musicians, as they would be with straighter news sources and subjects. But Lange, who was born in Boston and is now a mystery writer, was actually respected in the broadcast profession, regardless of what you may think of her in this interview clip here.

this interviewer is terrible -- she has no charisma and does not bring bling to the show--i feel embarrassed for her... even rick and dave are finding it hard to respond to her questions...who is she??? the boys are so cool and cute anyway and i miss them very much. the whole family. thank goodness for tapes.....

@gypsijewel-----I agree with you---all thru this interview--she asked questions in the wrong way and text-----damn''---where did they find this girl???? and yes it could have been a dynamic interview--with the right person... they both are very good looking and David and Ricky were very close in real life... and infact --David was so mad at Ricks' wife --for spending so much of the money he earned --that made him go on the road all the time...and eventually --died from the plane crash---David was so devastated..as were his parents....Ozzie loved his family and was very protected of them..but held to tightly to Ricky at times and was behind the arranged love affair of Chris --his wife---bad news--as we saw...

However, the interviewer here is "Tomorrow" sub-host (and Snyder's good friend), longtime Los Angeles news anchor (and one-time "Today" sub-host) Kelly Lange. I remember Lange had also interviewed The Ramones on "Tomorrow." and the boys from Queens weren't impressed by Lange's interviewing style much either, seemed rather bored.

I didn't like this interview at all. I thought her line of interview questions were (can't quite put my finger on it).... just seemed so off in some way. Both brothers seemed uncomfortable - like they were trying not to step on the other one's toes or something.
