You are doing a very good job with your sps corals they look healthy and colorful. you said something right about chasing numbers, in this hobby is very easy to get paranoid about that!! thank you for your advice. Happy New Year 2021 to everybody and best wishes!!!!!

I find nitrates bottom out to zero very fast, so usually phosphates are the main cause of algae. I have started auto dosing nitrates and phosphates to keep a stable level instead of trying to increase numbers via feeding.

I think the only real issue I've heard with mixing softies and sps together is the chemical warfare issues softies could bring but keep them happy and should be good. Also wise to always run some good carbon just incase 👌

Could i do a pico reef with just a powerhead and water changes every week ??? I plan to get the fluval nano marine light is it a good light in your opinion???

Hey John, yes, you can do a Pico with a power head only. Weekly water changes would be a must, but easy because of such a small volume of water. I do 50% on my 3.5G Pico. I’m not familiar with the fluval light.
