I’m thankful for my family, especially around this time of year. I know it sounds chiche and generic to say family, but hear me out. 7 years ago now, my brother passed away. He was just 13. It happened at a family reunion and he slipped off a rope swing and hit his head on a rock. He fell into the lake and sunk to the bottom. After all this happened, my family was always there for me. When my parents and brother had to be airlited to the hospital (i couldn’t go because i was “too young”), my aunt drove me the 6 hr car ride to get there. When i got home after seeing my brother die in front of me, they were always there. They helped me understand what happened, they comforted me, and still do today. I will always be eternally thankful for my family for all that they do for me. #whatagirlwants

My dogs are always so happy when I arrive and act like I’ve been gone for weeks even though it has only been a few hours. My dogs make me laugh and put a smile on my face. I honestly couldn’t be more thankful for friends and family, and the time I get to spend with them. Recently I have had the diagnosis of possible brain cancer hanging over my head, and I was terrified. Thank goodness that isn’t the case anymore, but that time really showed me just how things can change in an instant.
