Nick Ashford & Val Simpson never forgot Christian roots even in writing secular songs there were messages of love, warning, relationships, fun and high spirited beats from the floor up to the ceiling down! old school in the house! think about it on any street corner LOL sis.Val & Fam.

Hearing this mix is like listening to 98.7 Kiss - WRKS-FM/New York - at the height of its glory in the early 80s. And, more importantly, the height of Ashford and Simpson's power on the airwaves. I can see the city and everything in it so clearly as I hear this incredible song...

I was young when this song came out but I knew good music back then when I heard it and still love it to this day. That's what happens when your parents play great music in the house all the time with or without company. We grew up learning how to appreciate everything about it. Thank you Nick and Val for all of beautifully written and songs that you have sang over the years.

Dear Marcella - I was a DJ in Manchester (UK not US) and we used to give this max airplay on our Friday nights. You are right - they were legendary BLACK artists. In those days we didn't hide behind euphemisms like 'R & B' . Quality black acts were my speciality & A & S were up there with the best of 'em! Glad to hear someone ELSE thinks they were the baddest sound around! Have a fab day, dear lady.....'TJ the DJ'
